Dear Martin is a must read
What I liked most is how real the book feels. The things that happen to Justyce are things you see on the news all the time, but reading it from his point of view made it hit way harder. You really feel his anger, his confusion, and how lost he feels trying to understand why people treat him differently. It’s frustrating, but it makes you think. The book also shows how even people who seem like they have it all together are struggling with their own problems. I liked how it talked about friendships, school, and even how the media twists stories. It’s not just about racism; it’s also about finding your identity and figuring out what kind of person you want to be. I think every teenager should read Dear Martin. It’s not super long, but it sticks with you. It really opened my eyes and made me want to be more aware of what’s going on in the world. Plus, it’s written in a way that’s easy to understand but still deep. Definitely a 10/10 from me.

Dear Martin is a must read
Dear Martin by Nic Stone is a powerful and emotional novel that follows the main character Justyce, a Black teen facing racism and injustice in today’s world. Once Justyce experiences the injustice of inequality he writes letters to Martin Luther King Jr., hoping to find guidance in dealing with his experiences. Through easy to understand dialogue, the book explores topics like racial profiling, identity, and inequality. This makes tough issues easy to understand and hard to ignore. I found that I got very emotional about the situations that Justyce and his friends went through. I think this story is so important for young readers to hear to understand that they are not alone.

Eye Opening and Powerful
This book took me on a rollercoaster of emotions. I was sad, frustrated, and happy throughout reading it. It’s a very eye opening read and especially in today’s world, it is an amazing read to understand another perspective than your own. I could barely put the book down.
