Book Synopsis

All humans have a Guardian Angel. But what happens when your Guardian goes missing?

When Jonathan's Guardian pushes the child to bully others, young Seer Natalie and her Guardian try to stop them. She names Jonathan's Guardian Demon, to reflect his sinister and controlling nature. When Demon's actions pose a threat to the Seer, the other Guardians join forces to protect her. This leads to the baffling disappearance of Demon. Without his Guardian, Jonathan can barely function.

Natalie and her friends must try to help Jonathan recover from the harm she unwittingly caused. The children and Guardians know that someday Demon will return, and fear the unknown repercussions which will follow.

The parents of the children are oblivious to the unfolding drama surrounding the Seer. The adults happily anticipate an upcoming wedding, college graduation, and an expected newborn. But they also must cope with serious issues including PTSD, drug abuse, and elder care.

The Seer becomes involved with everything, attempting to bring healing and love to those around her in unexpected and even miraculous ways.

Good conclusion to the characters' journeys that were so carefully constructed in books one and two--new characters/arcs were also introduced and well resolved. At its heart, this book has been about one child's helpful/healing influence in her family and friends' lives. Given this premise, it is not surprising that the primary focus is on the children, which I did appreciate, especially in Jonathan's chapters.

I will remember this series for its very apt emotional vividness and the unique concept of guardian entities, the principles of which stayed consistent. If more were written about Natalie's story/this premise, I would read with interest.

This was the 3rd book in Julia Guroff's GUARDIANS series. I like many different genres and am often drawn to a paranormal story. I can honestly say these were original and unlike anything else I have read, which had me hooked. As I've stated in the previous reviews, the characters are very relatable (and some being children) make you care for them deeply, with their unique personalities. I loved how this was well-written from multiple POVs in such a way that you feel the differences in each inner monologue. Not giving any spoilers, this story wrapped up issues the characters faced that had come to a head, and I really enjoyed the outcome-also leaving it open for future books with the young characters as they grow. I would definitely recommend this series, and I look forward to reading what else this writer has in the works!

I fell in love with this series with the first book "Guardian". This was my introduction to Julia Guroff and her writing and I fell in love with Julia's writing style, her prose, and the story she has been telling through her Guardian series.

In this 3rd book I loved watching all the characters continue to grow and develop. It was stunning to watch Natalie grow into her powers further and try and help her friends and all the parents.

This entire series has such a hold on my heart and I honestly hope that Julia continues to write this series as I am not ready say goodbye. I would look to see what happens to all these kids as they grow into adulthood, especially Natalie.

If you haven't started reading the Guardian Series then I suggest you start with Guardian ASAP as this series is going to find a place in your heart quickly. You do need to read this series in order to understand past events and the characters.

I absolutely loved this book. I really loved the whole series. It was captivating from the start and definitely something I would read again. It's a definite 10/10 would recommend.
