Used to be good now garbage.
I have used these for years. Never any issues. The last two boxes have been beyond garbage. They light for maybe 2 minutes tops. Typically the wrapper is partially intact. Stay away.

I like them but priced high
Site has wasted my time, I wrote a review and it deleted it. This is a terrible product and customer support is non existent. Many bars in this expensive Firestarter are short product, it's garbage, save your money and buy anything else unless you enjoy being ripped off and given no option for customer feedback with issues.

Won't light
I'm using them for a wood burner. I can't get them to light for me and it smokes up my home. I'm following the directions. Maybe I got a bad batch or s

Horrible product
The paper burns and then I'm left with an unlit brick. I need to hold a lighter to it for several minutes before it lights. What did you change, other than the smaller size? Won't buy this ever again.

Waste of Money - Don't Buy
The starter-thingies are hard to light, difficult to keep lit, and don't help ignite the firewood. And I'm saying this after maybe a dozen attempts at different times.

What changed? Doesn't light.
I have used this product in the past with great success. The last box I bought is nearly impossible to light. I have tried loosening the paper as suggest in another review but no luck. I even tried crumpled paper around and under. The paper all burned leaving a bare block of starter. What changed? Did I get a bad batch? Fire starters shouldn't be difficult to light. I'm certainly not going to buy another box of these just to see if they are any better.

I used this product for the first time in December 2020! I was at Barnsley Resort and had a hard time getting a fire going...So I used about 3-4 of these and the fire 🔥 was amazing a few minutes later! Love this product

no good
reduced size and increased price??? BAD COMBO. I have used these for years, but this year they are smaller in size, smaller amount in box, along with an increased price (in the same big box store as always) It actually extinguished before it lit the logs!!! I can not afford these any longer, I am retired and disabled and unable to print any "coupons" VERY DISAPPOINTED...BAD FOR BUSINESS...BAD FOR THE MADE IN AMERICA LOGO

No way...never again
I've tried all sorts of ways to get fires going. I'm one of those that doesn't need these things, to give you a idea, my usual way is char cloth and a ferro rod but always willing to try something easy if i have the pack space. No matter how much airflow you have, this thing smokes like mad and stinks like plastic and i do mean no matter how much. I even tried to burn one in a rocket stove with a secondary hot air inlet for a second burn and the smoke was so heavy it couldn't draw enough oxygen to ignite the smoke for a clean burn. I don't know whats in this thing, but even out of the wrapper it smells like plastic burning. With the wrapper it lights easy enough, but the plastic stinking smoke is 10x worse. I've burned waste oil from a car oil change with less issues. I mean i get it...its a fire, you're going to have some but NOT like this. If you're trying to signal in a rescue aircraft, this is perfect. then there is the creosote it leaves. If your big logs do this, you're going to cause a chimney fire burning these things inside. After one test burn in that small rocket stove its was dripping out like a oil leak from a car oil pan with a bad gasket. If you need a fire starter to get a camp fire going, coat a cotton ball with petroleum jelly and maintain good airflow flow while it catches the small stuff on fire. These things are a crime against nature.

If it ain't broke, DON'T FIX IT!!!
Reduced size from 6 oz. to 4.5 oz., now I have to use 2 for the same size logs. WHY?? Please return the 6 oz. Firestart if only as an option.

Done buying this product
I've always used these fire staters in the past but the last couple boxes I've purchased I can't seem to get them to lite the only thing that burns is the paper they're wrapped in I actually have to squirt them with charcoal lighter to get them to burn.

These new ones do not work as well as the 6oz.
I now have to use two of them to start most fires...why do companies have to mess with good products?

worse value vs the 6 oz starters they replace
These firestarters work fine but my complaint with them is they are smaller (4.5 oz) than than the 6oz Firestarters that are apparently discontinued, yet sell for the same price. The end result for the consumer is a 25% price increase. Not cool.

We have used these for 14 years and been very happy.
However, the last 3-4 boxes we have bought have to be lit and re- lit to keep them burning. The paper burns and the fire starter doesn't. The only other problem we have is that stores start pulling them in March and this is our only source of heat. Guess we just have to remember to stock up in February. Thank you for your time.

Everyone i use, starts my logs. I tried other brand. Not true with them. Easier to light and not sticky thanks to your new wrapping. We use them inside fireplace stove , normal fireplace with log grate and outside bon fires.

Great Fire Starter
I use real wood in my fireplace. I find that these fire starters work best for starting my fires. The ease of lighting them because there individually wrapped and no mess on your hands makes this product a plus.
