Educational Insights Design & Drill Bolt-It Bucket

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been waiting 15 days for this product . I contacted the company 4 days ago to find out the status of my border and still no response. At this point , I would not buy anything from Educational Insights.

WE BOUGHT THIS FOR OUR 3 YEAR OLD SON AND HE LOVES IT BUT THE DRILL CLICKS A LOT AND YOU HAVE TO HOLD THE DRILL JUST RIGHT TO MAKE IT WORK. I AM DISAPPOINTED BECAUSE HE GETS FRUSTRATED.

This is very easy for my 4 year old grandson and granddaughter to use. It really helps them with fine motor skills.

drill didn't work, so was disappointing

This was a present for my 4 yr old grandson. He loved it for about two hours before the drill quit operating. What a disappointment. The gear mechanism froze and completely stopped. Definitely not the batteries.

My 2.5 year old absolutely loves this! The drill was super easy to setup and get her playing. I love that along with fine motor skills, this toy allows her to practice her colors, hand eye coordination and creativity. Her favorite thing is to make letters with the screws. Pro-tip: don't press hard at all while drilling or it won't work as well.

Love this drill & design set! My 4 yr old was able to use it independently to drill and loosen the screws, and my 5 yr old enjoys following the patterns provided in the book. I love that it all fits in the carrying case for easy storage!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Educational Insights Design & Drill Bolt-It Bucket has been fun for 3 year old daughter!! When it came in the mail she could not wait to play with it!! My 7 year old son also gave it a go, but that didnt last long. My daughter had a great time with this toy the first few days, but then unfortunately grew a little bored of it. Also the "drill bit" constantly falls out and it drives my kiddo nuts! Lol For our family, now that the "new toy smell" of this toy has run out, it may be something we dont sre very often.

We bought this product on the first day of the month-long quarantine. We were looking for something that would keep our 3 year old occupied while I worked from home and my old child continued her schooling online. Let me start with my own favorite part of this product which is the carrying case. All pieces of this toy (screws, drill, and drill bit) all store neatly in the handy carrying case. I love that when my 3 year old is done playing we sit together and work on cleaning up our work. This product provides the ability to easily clean up our work together. The drill set is good quality (does require 2 AAA batteries) and was easy for my 3 year old to learn how to use. He is able to sit and drill for a long time. He's not able to follow the patterns provided in the instruction to create a design yet but my 5 year old can and follow the designs to create some pictures

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Since receiving this toy my child has not put it down. When we first received it it was a little hard for my daughter to drill the screws but now she's an expert. My older kids also love it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this item for free in exchange for an honest review. I have two girls, ages 5 and 12. The 12 year old was not as interested in it, but did enjoy helping the youngest create patterns and pictures with the colored bolts. I wish it had a little more power to it, because they got bored fast and I wish it had a bigger book of ideas. I think all around it is a cool toy to teach about patterns and fine motor skills. But I probably would recommend for ages at 4-7.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love this toy! My 2 year old will spend forever playing with it. My older kids love to make designs on top with it. I wish the screw driver had a little more power, it's a little wimpy.

Even though this is considered a "boy" toy it didn't stop my girly daughter from playing with it! In fact she loves the drill and putting in the screws and taking it out one by one- esp since it Mimics her dads drill. We actually have an older version that came in a box but over time that box got beaten and it was so hard to store without things falling out so when i saw this little bucket version i knew i had to get it! My only complaint was i wish there was more holes on the lid. I would def. recommend ages 7 and under- they will really enjoy playing with it.

My 3 year old isn't as into the designs as my daughter, so the combination is really great for both of them. It keeps them busy while working on fine motor skills, colors, and sharing. It's a great interactive toy.

This is a great hands-on toy! The kids loved drilling the bolts with the electronic drill. You can remove the bolts with the drill by changing the direction. I think it would be helpful to have the remove and insert labeled on the drill itself, but with some help it was fine. The manual has different images that the kids can create and they liked that there were different projects.

My son already has a tool set at home, but he especially loves the "power drill!" He gets to pretend he's building something like mom or dad. I like the bonus challenge of following design patterns. We can work on numbers, colors, steps, etc. I love that all the bolts just go into the easy open/close bucket for easy and convenient cleanup!! Great for taking outside on a nice day, too!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a 4 year old girl and 2 year old boy, who both love to help daddy with home projects, so this is the hot new toy in my home. They drill the screws down. Then they switch the button on the back of the drill and drill them back up. After the first run they have began drilling them down in patterns, or making numbers, the possibilities are really endless with all the different colored screws.What I like most about this product is the bucket makes for easy cleanup. All the screws and the drill fit nicely in the bucket. My children seem to actually enjoy cleaning it up so they can walk around with a full bucket and have it ready for the next home project.

I have a 5-year old, a 3-year old, and a 1-year old and they ALL get something out of this toy! The 5-year old loves to make the pictures from the booklet with the different colored screws, the 3-year old loves to put a screw in every single spot and take them out again with the drill, and the 1-year old loves putting the screws away in the bucket. I love that this toy contains all of its pieces and is so easy to store and keep neat. I also love that this toy will grow with them and that each kid can use it in his own way. I highly recommend this toy!
