My niece who is 4 loved the little drill with this. Bought it for her birthday. Could follow the pictures too in building the rocket I was quite amazed!

Great toy but the drill doesn’t work at all. Just opened a pack of new batteries & still nothing. Also, then product details on this app say it requires 3 AAA batteries, but the physical manual says 2 AA. Obviously the main issue is the fact that it doesn’t work at all

I'm sorry that our Design & Drill Bolt Buddies Rocket didn't meet your expectations. I did just double check our guide, and do see everywhere says that 3 AAA batteries are required. If you'd like to reach out to our customer service team they'd be happy to replace your drill. Please email us at GetHelp@EducationalInsights.com. We look forward to hearing from you.

A robust little rocket!

My son was eager to dive in and quickly start taking this robust little rocket apart and using the drill to put it back together again. He found it a bit tough to get the nose cone and base on, so I had to help him with that. It was also a little tricky for him to get the dog to slot into the rocket otherwise he really enjoys playing with it. I can see how the way he plays with it will develop and change as he gets older. He's already started to become more creative with it using the launch pad and moon as a backdrop to his space fuelled stories! The box opening out into the backdrop it such a fantastic idea, we loved it.

This was purchased as a gift for my son's third birthday. He absolutely loves it, that is, until he tries to play with it. The drill concept is a little advanced for a three year old but that didn't stop him. What DID stop him was the door to the rocket constantly falling off. Seems to be just a poor design on that one part but because that's really the only movable part aside from the screws, it can be very frustrating for both of us.

the kids had some fun playing with the rocket in the beginning. But after they put it together and took it apart they kind of lost interest. Now it has been sitting in the toy room untouched. Will probably be donating it later. I received this through bzzagent to review. I am not paid for my review.

I love this product. It was easy to build and my daughter loves to play with this a lot. She tries and fixes everything with the drill. I like that it's not noisy and doesn't have small parts. Highly recommend it

I enjoyed working on this project with my 6 year old. Some pieces were preassembled so we had a hard time accounting for materials to start, but once we found them, everything was according to the included instructions sheet. It was a quick and easy build. My daughter screwed and unscrewed the bolts throughout the day so it was very entertaining for her and kept her interested and occupied in a project.

The design of this toy was great! I feel that the ages ranges are wrong. my 5 year old had fun with it for about 10 minutes and then he was over it/ I think this would be great for 3 - 5 year olds. My son loved the drill part of it just remember the batteries!

We have a new favorite toy in our household!

This has to be the most played-with toy in our house, to-date! It's already made 2 'show and tell' appearances at my 3-year-old's preschool. My initial impressions of Learning Resources Design & Drill Bolt Buddies Rocket: *This is cute and looks incredibly durable! *Uh-oh, I don't know if my three-year-old has the motor skill to put this together and this drill is kind of big for his hands *Dang it, now I have to go find batteries for this drill *Oh look, he's getting it - there are a lot more steps to assembling a toy than I realized I really appreciate how few parts are involved in the assembly; it's enough work to teach the motor skill, but not so much that my son got bored of the activity. As he's taken it apart and put it back together on many occasions he's become more confident in his use of the drill and the spatial relationships between the parts of the rocket ship. The little people included with the rocket ship make frequent appearances in other areas of play and provide an opportunity to exercise a different motor skill. In the craziness of my household, the toy has been dropped, chewed on, and taken to preschool for show and tell and it's held up remarkably. The Learning Resources Design & Drill Bolt Buddies Rocket has been a valuable learning tool and has encouraged spatial activity that I would not have thought to undertake without this toy. And, as a bonus, it's fostered a new interest in space and rocket ships. Its $24.99 price point is a fair one for a toy of this caliber and I'm interested in looking at other toys and tools offered by Educational Insights. I highly recommend this toy!

My 5 year old loves the Design & Drill Bolt Buddies Rocket. He always wants to help dad with projects using tools so to have his own drill was exciting. The rocket was very easy for him to put together and as soon as he was done he took it apart and did it all over again. He loves playing with it but has more fun putting it together and taking it apart.

My son is 3 and had such a fun time interacting with me over the rocket. With some help he was able to use the drill and made the best of time before his nap. Now he loves saying blast off!! I definitely recommend this for parents of inquiring minded kids

This is a super cute toy that also teaches your kids how to build. It is well made and sturdy. I like that it comes with just the right amount of pieces so my son isn't overwhelmed trying to put it together. He loves putting it together to just take it right back apart. The two characters are cute, and I love that the box opens up as a backdrop of space to add to the fun. I would definitely recommend this for your little builder.

My son loves all things space, and making things; this product is super cool that he can indeed do both, and the box inside is like a little space station which he was pointing out the moon and other items, this I see getting a ton of use and helps with his imagination!!

Engaging and Interactive

My 5 year old daughter enjoyed this interactive toy very much. She learned what lefty loosey and righty tighty means, and was able to use the tool with ease to build the rocket and interchange the bolts. She liked how it came with the two little figurines also, and we also played the rocket ship song to play along with it. 3 triple A batteries are needed for the tool. Even my 2 year old wanted to play with it and could use it with ease.
