[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great product for an artsy kid! They recommend 6+ but I think a crafty 5 YO is probably also fine. This is an all in one kit- everything you need is included, including a pallate and 12 paints. The foam tipped sponges were easier to use for this versus the brushes. The only thing missing would be “idiot proof” instructions on how to paint, similar to a pumpkin carving kit. My son really enjoyed this one!!! I received an incentive to write this review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a fun little craft for my son to do before bed time. He loves his little moon lamp he has in his room so he was super excited to paint his own. It was messy but that was too be expected. The paint colors were really cute and the kit came with a bunch of different types on paint brushes- he especially loved the sponge ones! Once we finished and let it dry we turned it on and he was amazed and proud of his creation. I received an incentive to write this review.

I got this for my son as an Easter gift. We just got done painting it. It comes with 3 sets of paints, one being metallic and several sponges and paint brushes as well as a mixing plate. It also comes with extra batteries which is awesome since they are a special type. The paint was good quality. It painted really nicely. The stand was easy to put together also. It looks so cool lit up in the dark. I highly recommend getting this if you're thinking about it. You will not regret it!!

At first I wasn't going to show an after picture, then I did way better than I thought. I only used the sponge brushes with the paints. It was way easier than I thought. After I dabbed different colors around, I added the metallic silver to the sponge and went over the whole moon again, it really helped to blend in the paint.

This little night light or lamp is so cute! It is also so fun to be able to paint it any way you want. The lamp ball itself is a nice size and is textured like the moon. This does make it a little more difficult to paint as you have to get all the bumps, but I like the look. I like that it came with stamp sponges and paint brushes for different effects.

This was such a fun project to do with my son! He really liked using all the little tools and accessories to decorate his globe and make it pretty! There was plenty of paint left over and when it was all dried, he went back in with a bit of the left over paint to touch up some areas.It comes with the cute wooden stand and is pretty bright when turned on. It won't light up a whole room on it's own but it does put out a decent amount of light and looks great as part of a night light setup!

I am in love with these paint kits with lights! It has give my child so much of creative outlet and she is loving these. I am going to join her in these and make a mom and daughter activity out of it. She has painted these before and I loved seeing her happy face when it was done and she could light it up and keep it. Such a fun buy. You can use it as a playdate activity as well.
