Q: is the metal on these chairs a matte black?

A: Hello! Correct, the legs and arms on this chair are black in color with a semi gloss/matte finish. There is a slight shine to the finish, so its not completely matte. Thank you, eLuxury Customer Service

The chair overall was the style we were looking for but the color was way different from the picture. It looks burn orange/rust in the photo with more brown undertones towers when we got it the color was red. Not even close to rust. Just apple red color. Disappointing as we were looking forward to the chairs!

I bought this chair for my bedroom as a place to sit and read or watch TV. The goal was a comfortable seat. This chair looks nice but is honestly the least comfortable seat in the house. My back hurts from testing it out for an hour (and I am not of the age that I'm getting backaches). Super disappointing. Definitely not worth it at this price point.
