Q: Does this charge samsung galaxy A71 phones?

A: Thanks for your inquiry. Unfortunately the Samsung Galaxy A71 phone does NOT have built-in wireless charging capability therefore the phone without wireless charging capability would NOT be able to be charged wirelessly from the lamp, my apology. So pleased with this lamp! Especially the moveable neck to place it in any position I want. Like that there are 3 levels of light and of course, the feature that sanitizes.

I bought this Ottlite to sanitize back when COVID days were worse. The advertisement said it also killed fungus. Turns out my most important use of the light has been killing fungus. I was about to buy a new washing machine because mine had a moldy smell. I cleaned the washer well and then started using the Ottlite daily in the tub of the machine. Yes, for safety, I had a ground fault circuit interrupter outlet installed, but I also dry it well before inserting the light. The light stays on all day and night. I have not had any moldy smell since and it's been about four months. It's hard to know the light is working to kill germs but fungus is something that announces itself with a smell. I had battled the moldy smell for years. Now I have a defense that works. Guess it's killing germs, too.

This is a cool lamp. It is smaller than I anticipated and I did read the measurements lol. I'm using it as a bedroom reading lamp. Wish Target sold it in black too. Not sure if I can change the bulb and Off Lite hasn't responded to the two emails that I sent to them this week.

Love how bright the light is and it doesn’t take up a lot of space. But I am worried about how to replace the light when it burns out. Nothing in the literature even hints at how long the light should work and where to buy a new part. Is it going to be like my original ott light that I’ve had for years that replacement lights and parts can no longer be found or purchased, thereby almost forcing a person to have to buy an all new light? I really like that I can plug in my iPad or phone while I’m working on a project. But additional advice on what charging cords would have been nice. Do you know how many different cords are out there??? not all of us are young and keep up with the changes happening practically daily!

I'm a bit of germaphobe and saw this lamp and thought I'd give it a try. I'm glad to know it is killing the bacteria at my desk and I don't have to constantly wipe it down anymore. I usually use the white light mode when I'm working, which is so bright and clear. I always put it on the full purple sanitizing light when I'm done for the night. The USB charger is a great feature that I use all the time for my phone. I'm so thrilled with this lamp that I may buy another one soon! Happy customer here!
