Cheap look.
This review is purely based on observation but this knife looks super cheap to me. I purchased a Farberware bread knife about a year ago, and the handle is a more matte black and blends nicely with the rest of my Calphalon knife block set. This knife (and another I purchased along with this one) both have weirdly cheap looking handles. The black plastic handles look shiny almost like a Lego would, and the end of it is shiny silver colored plastic or metal (it feels more like plastic but I can’t tell for sure). They don’t resemble the nicer looking bread knife of the same brand I bought last year. Ultimately I’m not sure I’ll return solely because of this, but I also don’t think I’ll buy any more of these.

Sharp, then dull as ever
Day one out of the box? Sliced both my fingers open cleaning it. SHARP. Now that I've owned it for 3 weeks and kept it in its cover and washed it and dried it immediately, the most high-maintenance knife I've ever owned? Dull as an overused pencil. The "built in sharpener" does nothing. This will be going back.
