A: It's like a very mild swiss or provolone. It is actually my fav fake cheese because it's not overly nutritional-yeast flavored. I hate nutritional yeast!

If you're avoiding dairy / animal products this will provide a nice little treat to replace the taste / purpose of cheese. I haven't even tried to melt it, I just place it on as is or munch a little bit as a snack. Good taste and texture. Would buy again.

I am trying to steer away from dairy and this is a good starting point, imo. The cheese is good for the most part. I could not get it to melt or if it did melt, it melted in certain spots but not evenly.

I put this on garlic bread and put it in a toaster oven and it was really good. The cheese alone is good too - I wouldn't know this wasn't really cheese if I wasn't aware it was vegan. The only issue is the price - it's about three times the cost of normal cheese. I took off one star for that reason alone - it's just too expensive for me to keep buying.

Absolute favorite vegan cheese! This is similar to thick sliced havarti or another mellow-flavored cheese. Although I’m not super picky in general, I usually pass on vegan cheeses because the texture is weird or the flavor is just not awesome. But this ‘cheese’ I eat by itself and in any dish. It doesn’t last more than a few days around here!!

This is hands down the best vegan cheese I've ever tasted. It tastes like good dairy cheese and it doesn't have a weird aftertaste like so many vegan substitutes for dairy do. I eat it plain or with bread and it tastes great no matter what. I will absolutely be buying again.

Wow! I am pleasantly surprised at how much this tastes like cheese! It has a great flavor and texture, and does melt. I made a grilled cheese and it got nice and melts my and creamy. I am excited to try it on different things like burgers and sandwiches

This stuff is so creamy!!! I love it! It melts too! There’s like a billion vegan cheeses that claim to melt, and…well they don’t. This stuff does and it tastes amazing! I just put a slice on a black bean burger and it was soooo good! Im not vegan but me and dairy don’t seem to be compatible any longer so I’ve been looking for substitutes to make the transition to dairy free a little easier. I would definitely recommend this cheese. Also other products from this company are also really good, and thankfully Target Carrie’s them.

Not bad for a vegan cheese. I prefer Mykonos, but Mykonos only has so many options. I plan to use Chao in as many recipes as possible to really test it as a substitute. (Note: I'm not a vegan, vegetarian, or lactose intolerant; I just like to incorporate more plant-based foods in my diet.)
