A: If your tire is a quiet tire or a run flat, we do not recommend installing Fix-a-Flat into quiet tires. The tread area of a quiet tire is coated with a layer of foam. If the sealant is installed, it will be instantly absorbed into the foam, rendering it unable to reach and treat the puncture. The sealant will also likely result in tire vibrations. Additionally, there is no way to remove the sealant from the foam and the tire will likely need to be replaced. Run flat tires are not designed for tire sealant as the run flat tire structure was specifically created to indicate a flat and still be safe to drive on for a short period of time. Additionally, some run flat tires have a foam insert to help support the run flat concept. If the tire does have the foam insert, sealant will be absorbed in the foam and will not reach the puncture hole.
If they are regular tires, you can use Fix A Flat in them for emergency repair only. You should always have the tire cleaned out by a tire professional within 3 days or 100 miles.

Q: Can it be left in the car when temperatures drop to freezing or below
submitted by Catalina - 7 months ago
A: Yes. If the temperature falls below 32 degrees Fahrenheit, Fix-a-Flat will freeze. The product in the can is not damaged and may be used after thawing (we recommend warming the can using your vehicle’s interior heater vent). If the product is in the tire, and freezing weather is predicted, then immediately take the vehicle to a qualified tire professional for repair.

Q: Can Fix-A-Flat 16oz be used for rear tires 265/45R18 101V for a Cadillac CTS Coup 3.6 tires are showing a little bit rotten on the edges. New tires are too expensive right now or should I buy a larger
submitted by BL - 11 months ago
A: Hello, Fix-A-Flat is meant as an emergency repair only. It must be cleaned out within 3 days or 100 miles whichever comes first. So if you are using it to get to the tire shop so it can be fixed, that would work, but we do not suggest long term usage.

Q: Can Fix A Flat be used on a Run Flat tire with a nail puncture ?
submitted by Vic - 2 years ago
A: We do not recommend installing Fix-a-Flat into run flat tires.

Q: Is it safe to store in a hot car in summertime? The conents are pressurized, how much heat is safe?
submitted by cmm - 2 years ago
A: The best place to store a Fix-a-Flat can is in the spare tire well or trunk. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND STORING FIX-A-FLAT IN THE INTERIOR OF THE VEHICLE (INCLUDING GLOVE BOXES OR HATCHBACKS).
It is not recommended to store Fix-a-Flat in temperatures over 120 degrees Fahrenheit.

Q: Can you use this product for a baby stroller tire?
submitted by Amanda M - 6 years ago
A: Fix-a-Flat is for emergency flat tire repair in a highway vehicle only. But Slime sealant is a great fit for your baby stroller. It will prevent and repair flats for 2 years! If your stroller tires have tubes, grab the Slime red label bottle for tubes (#10003), If your stroller has tubeless tires, grab the Slime blue label bottle (#10007).

Fix-A-Flat
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is one of the easiest and safest products to use when your tire goes flat. It’s very durable and lasts as directed. I keep a can for myself because my car doesn’t come with a spare tire.

Emergency lifesaver
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is one of those things you hope you’d never need, but you are so glad you had when you need it. It’s really easy to use (even for me that have no idea about cars), just connect it and it quickly inflates and the tire enough to get you back on the road. I like that is super helpful to keep in my trunk for emergencies and it doesn’t use a big space in there.

Works quickly
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fix a flat is the best to have on hand. I love the idea that they are now making for the model of your vehicle, since the old cans sometimes one wouldn't be enough.

This is a great product to keep on hand.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am excited to have this product in my safety kit. Due to a past experience I know what it is like to have a flat on a major highway and have to wait for help to come. This will be in my trunk for that type of emergency. I will keep it inside of an insulated container, for safety purposes. This is a great product to keep on hand.

Belongs in your car trunk
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fix A Flat - belongs in everyone’s car trunk. My front right tire of my 2019 MB C300 will sometimes run low, depending on the weather. Every 3-4 weeks I need to fill it with air. I have not had time to go to a mechanic to investigate the tire, so I just deal with airing it up every 3-4 weeks. If I don’t, my tire will go very low and my car gives me an alert on the dashboard. I usually find air at a gas station or car wash easily. This weekend I was in the country for the day and began my journey home in late afternoon , it didn’t occur to me that I have not filled my car with air in sometime until my alert came on the dashboard. I couldn’t find a gas station or car wash anywhere and remember I had Fix a Flat in my trunk. It was easy to use, I am a women and no sense of mechanical engineering. But i figured it out and it worked ! Thank you thank you! I was so overly grateful at that time. It got me out of a pinch. As I mentioned before , this product needs to be in every car trunk.

Must have tire repair solution
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fix a flat is one of those products you don’t need, until you do need! So I always keep one handy for those unexpected ( well they all are) flat tire scenarios. It’s easy to use. Just attached the tube from the can to the tire nozzle and press the yellow button on top of the can. The can is able to lift the car and plug up the small hole in your tire. As the direction say, small quarter inch hole, like a small nail. It worked for me, but once I was up and running and could drive, I took my tire to local shop for a more permanent repair. Overall, very pleased with the product!

Works!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is good! It’s better than I expected and helped me in a bind the other night. I feel as if it’s durable and works with my wheel type, which I think would work with all wheel types! Better than I thought!

Good product
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Fix-a-Flat is a great product to have on hand and is easy to use. You can ride 2-3 miles on it so you can hopefully get to a safe place without having to change to your spare on the side of the road. I was given a free sample for my honest review.

Great job🤙
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It certainly does an excellent job for small tire accidents. I shook the box well for my punctured tire and tied it to the sibob of the tire, emptying the whole box. He temporarily saved me from staying on the road, I’m grateful 🙏

Great to keep in the car!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like having Fix-a-Flat in my car as an extra layer of protection in case of a tire emergency. The can is compact enough to keep in the trunk without taking up much space, and the instructions are straightforward and easy to understand. I especially like that it can temporarily seal and inflate a flat tire without needing extra tools, which gives me some peace of mind when I’m driving alone or somewhere that help might not be immediately available. Definitely a handy emergency item to keep in the car!

Easy to use
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an easy fix! It's super simple to use and great to have on hand for emergencies. Just open the cap, insert it into the tire's air valve, and fill it up. While you'll still need to add air later, this will resolve the issue temporarily.
