    Love it.

    We love it! Works great for the bedroom and some of the upstairs. We needed it when our air went out in the whole house. It is great to have.

    Wouldnt buy

    Came in box damaged. Also the air blow directly at your face and there isn’t a way to angle the blower vents to different heights like most ac units. Also not energy star rated.

    Good features!

    Did all calculations for room size and ordered appropriate size unit for btu number for square footage .Barely cools the room.

    Works well

    Only subtracting a star because it's pretty loud especially from the outside. It fits our 36" window perfectly, a few gaps only because our building is sinking and things are very uneven. The foam piece that comes in the box definitely helps with the small gaps. The controls are easy to understand and the remote is basic enough for a toddler and it even comes with batteries. The weight of the product isn't as heavy as I thought it would have been and is very sturdy. It cooled my 710 apartment overnight. My complex is convinced there isn't anything wrong with the central ac and the 92 degree temp was normal because "it's hot outside." This window unit cooled down the apartment in 11 hours to 74 degrees.

    We would like to assist you with this air conditioner. Your appliance not cooling as expected can be cause by multiple factors including indoor air flow being restricted. It is important to ensure there are not curtains, blinds or furniture blocking the front of the air conditioner. The air filter being dirty also has a direct effect on the performance of this unit. Clean the filter at least every 30 days. If the tips provided do not help with the cooling performance, please contact our warranty team directly at 1-833-4BODEWELL.

    This AC is designed to cool a room up to 250 square feet. If the room is larger than that, the AC will have trouble cooling it properly. To improve your cooling experience, make sure the air flow is not restricted, and that the cool air isn't escaping.     Good little AC, a bit loud.

    I am pretty happy with this air conditioner. I bought it to replace an older GE model which I had for ten years; it actually worked well but I felt like I was pushing my luck so I gave it away and purchased this new one, which had 1,000 more BTU. I use it in my bedroom. It also had features my older, more basic model, did not- electronic temperature controls, a remote, etc. It works well, I feel like it is a bit louder than the older one and also rattles sometimes, which stops if I give it a little push on the side. It was easy to install and light. I can't really tell about efficiency because I have a much larger unit in the living area which probably uses a lot more electricity.

    6,000 BTU IS VERY UNCOOL!

    i already had the 5,000 BTU model of this item. bought it two years ago (albeit not from target) & it works great in my small bedroom! actually cools the rest of my house pretty decently too. now i wanted a stronger one for my living room so figured i'd stick with GE & get the 6,000 BTU, right? total disappointment! NOT COOL! was easy to install but it failed to blow cold (or even slightly chilly) air. tried all different combinations of temp & fan speeds. tried different windows. tried different outlets. but my smart thermometer never clocked it blowing less than 70°. after 36 hours of troubleshooting (all while the 5,000 BTU is doing the most), i gave up. submitted a return saying product doesn't work. hoping target takes it back even though it's opened & used (but like, how else would one know it doesn't work??). also it's noisy af. ugh.

    Small, light weight and easy (relaltively) install

    Installation was a bit of a chore, but I only had ME to do it! So, took a bit of time and configuration, but got it done and now it works perfectly. I like the fact that it doesn't have all kinds of wi-fi, bluetooth, types of electronics. Just a (fairly) simple on and off. The remote enhances the operation a lot.
