We want to help you with the sound level of your air conditioner. We recommend checking that the front grille is in good condition, the air filter is clean, and the unit is installed properly. Remove the grille and inspect it to confirm it is not damaged. If it is not broken, reinstall the grille. Make sure to check and clean the air filter, and remove any debris or dirt from the exterior of the air conditioner. You can clean the air filter by following the instructions on page 8 of the owner's manual here: https://images.salsify.com/image/upload/s--Y8eJn2g7--/xmxbwo6zyygoh2afarub.pdf Additionally, you can find installation information starting on page 9 and information on reducing the sound level of the unit on page 15 of said owner's manual. Perfect small air conditioner!
The small air conditioner works well and was easy to install. The airflow is good and we’ve only had to use the low cooling as it is very efficient and low noise level ! Great buy for a small room air conditioner!

Definitely gets the room cool but is noisier than I expected. The fan set on LOW is just slightly quieter than HIGH. Also the directional levers only move left or right.

Cools well with great features
I like the eco/auto feature where the ac goes off & on when the weather isn’t too hot, but hot enough to use ac. It’s quiet & takes care of my 2 semi-small connected rooms.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We recently received the GE 6000 BTU Window Air Conditioner from Influenster in return for my honest review.I was beyond excited about this! We have horrible airflow in our home, since an addition was put on before we moved in. We ended up finding that we don’t get a lot of airflow in our back bedrooms, only in the main part of the house, which is difficult during NC summers! This was a wonderful surprise to have received this product!! It’s electric, a lot different from our last air conditioning system. It’s also eco friendly, it’s actually pretty quiet considering. Besides the system, I think I was most excited about the remote control! So smart!! The system itself came damaged, the backside was smashed in a bit. I believe it was due to the delivery of the system. Nevertheless, it still works. Installation and setup was so simple! It fits perfectly in our window and it was easy to put in. The air that comes out is very cool and nice, it’s also a LOT quieter than our last AC Unit! Grateful to have this, I would definitely recommend GE window air conditioner unit!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this GE window air conditioner from Influenster in exchange for my honest review. We have one room in our house that was added on after the house was built and they didn’t connect it to the AC in the house. It is the room that we use to get into the house and it also houses all of my husband’s 3D printing things. In the summer it can get pretty warm and stuffy. It is a really small room, about the size of a walk in closet, so I knew this unit would be fine to cool the entire room. Installation was a little tricky and took both my husband and me to get it in the window. I’m not sure how you’d do it from a room not on the first floor because my husband had to go on the outside and push it through the window. Maybe there is a way and we just aren’t experienced enough. As far as functional, it works as it should. It cools the entire room and keeps it cool.

It has a very nice and long power cord so you can reach outlets that are further from the window. I love the smell that comes out from this unit, reminds me of one we had when I was a kid. The airflow is very steady and it works as it should. I live that is a 5,000 btu so it will consume less energy than others rated at higher btu output.

Great air conditioner
I love my new GE air conditioner. My house is a 200 square foot tiny house. This air conditioner is great in every way. It’s not too noisy, so it doesn’t interrupt what ever I’m doing. The temperature is right on the spot.

name brands bad quality control.
cannot be put together. screws are to long for the top part to be atrached to air conditioner. had to return and find something else.

The unit works well and cools the room quickly, which is exactly what I needed for warmer days. The build quality feels solid and it comes with everything needed for installation, but the setup itself took a bit of time and effort. It's not super difficult, just something to keep in mind if you're installing it alone. It's also a little on the noisy side, so I personally wouldn't use it in a bedroom since I prefer sleeping in complete silence. Unfortunately it didn't perfectly fit my window, so I'm a bit limited in how I can use it right now. Overall, it's a good and reliable AC unit that does its job well - just make sure it fits your window and that you're okay with a bit of noise.

Everything it is advertised to be
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unit work well in a room of 150sf or smaller under normal conditions. Once it got hot and humid around 90+ degrees, this unit will struggle, fortunately my house is well insulated so it worked out, just took longer. I was hoping it would be noisy but it is louder than I expected. The install was super simple, the hard part would be lifting and holding the machine as a small person. I added wooden pieces to lock my window in place for security since most window AC units will compromise home safety.

No central air- this is a miracle!
