    I bought the Windmill because I can't sleep with the noise of a standard AC and thought this would be great. I have the Windmill fan right beside my bed and it is whisper quiet but unfortunately the AC unit is just as noisy as my other units. It also creates a lot of condensation so I'm constantly mopping up the water on top of it. Very disappointed with my purchase. I would have returned it but the box got thrown out before it was installed.

    Quiet, Cool, and Apartment Approved

    Never thought I’d describe an air conditioner as chic, but here we are. 😆 My bougie Windmill keeps the apartment cool, runs surprisingly quietly, and doesn’t make my window look like every other clunky NYC AC. The app control is a huge plus, and overall it’s been worth every bit of summer sanity.

    Easy and works well

    Delivery was quick and installation was fairly simple. The only "wish" I could voice would be for the top plastic "Rim" of the unit w the holes for screws (that goes against the sash of the window you pull down on it) was a bit taller. It would make it easier to ***** into the sash/frame of the window. It is likely a design issue with my window, but a taller frame/center attachment hole would have resolved the challenge. App works well and we are sleeping cool! All good news.

    Amazing customer service and great AC units

    Bought 2 Windmills, an 8,000 and a 10,000 last summer. Both were easy to install and while th 8,000 was quiet as promised, the 10,000 was pretty noisy. Eventually, I checked my warrenty and sent a message about the noisy unit and within a week Windmill had sent me a replacement! Along the way there was great communication from real people who made the process easy. Cannot say enough about the company's people and product quality. Thanks!

    Warranty

    Used unit for one season and it stopped working by blowing cold air. Did all the trouble shooting and still did not work. It was replaced under warranty. I love it and hope first unit was a fluke and this one last longer.

    Very happy with product and customer service.

    I purchased the unit through Lowes and picked it up at the store. After installing I noticed an annoying vibration and sound when the unit was running. I contacted customer service and they had me follow a few troubleshooting steps. When this didn't fix things I sent a couple pictures of the installed unit and a video of it running in different modes. After reviewing what I had sent them they promptly replied that a new unit would be shipped to my home. New unit is very quiet and even keeps my kitchen area cooler. So great product and service. Thanks Windmill!

    I’m currently in the process of seeing if I can return this item after 9 days. The unit looks nice and fits perfectly into my window but it’s LOUD. Especially on ECO mode where it’s constantly turning on and off, making these rumbling noises. Also, it’s starting to have this weird smell that I can’t really describe because it’s not exactly a mode or mildew smell. I purchased based on all the good reviews but honestly a little disappointed.

    Ac8000 with whisper tech

    I just bought one a few hours and installed and it vibrates the window and is by far not quite with vibration. Guy said they won’t take it back it’s a seasonal unit. For what I paid I exspected real quiet

    Best customer service ever!

    I ordered my new Windmill AC window unit delivered from Home Depot. After I installed it -- and the directions included are vastly superior to any other instruction manual I've ever used -- the unit had obviously been manhandled somewhere in the process. The sound from the compressor was excessively loud although everything else worked just fine.I contacted Windmill customer service, explained the problem and after they were able to verify that it was the compressor, they send me a another brand new unit absolutely free! No hassles whatsoever. A special shout out must go to their customer service representative, Pearl, who was absolutely the best!

    Loving my Windmill

    This is a nice a/c unit for cooling bedrooms. Its clean look and fairly quiet operation fits my needs well. Installation can be pretty straight forward and simple depending on if you want it to be secure from potential break-ins by securing with ***** options, which add significant time to installing. Screws must be drilled into window framing in order to make it secure for security purposes. Skip that part (******** procedures) and it does not take much time ar all. Maybe 10 minutes. Add 20 minutes for security measures.
