Windmill Air 6000 BTU Window Air Conditioner Quiet and Smart App/Wi-Fi Remote Control

We just received and installed a new Windmill AC. The installation was easy and the unit is quiet and working well!

Very overpriced for not being able to last 2.5 years. The WiFi app would constantly go in and out, which ok fine - we can deal with that. But breaking down and forming ice on the coils repeatedly despite following all instructions, very expensive item is now in the trash. After 2.5 years, ice would form within 15 minutes of turning on the AC, I’ve had window units last 15 years, guess they just don’t make them like they used to.

I haven’t been able to try mine yet because once we installed it we realized the cord was just a bit too short to reach the outlet. Seems ridiculously short to me, especially since the instructions say not to use an extension cord or surge protector.

I didn’t realize the WiFi could not be turned off. We do not use the app. Constant on could be a security issue. Also signed up with special for extra filters, haven’t received them. Said shipped on my email. Not a fan of a subscription service on that either. Air only comes out of top of vent, in one direction, up. Install was easier. Looks nice. Quiet compared to our old unit.

We bought 2 ***** BTU ac units and they are a game changer compared to the regular window units we had before. Besides the obvious esthetic of them looking sleek and modern, its amazing how quiet they run. The built in smart feature is very convenient and the fact that the vent doesn't blow straight out is really awesome. We had an issue with one of the units and emailed the company. Customer service was quick and efficient and we got a replacement super fast and everything works as it should. Wouldn't buy any other window ac ever again! Highly recommend!

I had an issue with the plug not working on my Whisper Tech unit and not only was customer service very quick to respond but they were also very quick to resolve the issue with a new unit. I received the replacement fast and it's working great! Very quietly, too!

After being thoroughly satisfied with the style and function of our first 8K BTU unit, we just installed a new 8K unit in our second bedroom. These ACs are amazingly quiet, efficient and user-friendly. And I love the WiFi connectivity feature through the factory-supplied phone app.One caveat: I had some difficulty connecting both units to WiFi. I forgot how I fixed the issue first time around, so when I reached out to the company for assistance, one of the co-founders replied right away and reminded me that the unit will be looking to make a 2.4G connection. My Google Pro WiFi Hub puts out 2.4G, 5G and 6G signals, so I think it was making it harder for the unit to find the right slot. I did manage to connect (maybe placing my phone a couple inches from the unit during pairing mode helped?) and all is working seamlessly now. As the title of my review suggests, it's the perfect combination of looks and functionality.We purchased this last one at PC Richard for $379 - which is a reasonable price to pay for such a well-designed product.

I got two Windmill AC window units with Whisper Tech. They have been amazing with cooling the entire apartment. I love how easy it is to change and automate the temperature and modes using the mobile app. The units are also quiet with only the occasional sound of turning on. I also got the filter, which has made the air quality noticeably cleaner. Overall, a wonderful purchase!

Product is great. Up air direction causes overhead fan to rotate which is better for getting over nearby furniture. Very quiet. Easy to install.Ups refuses to read special instructions needed because of construction. Windmill stepped in participing in solving the problem.

My Windmill 12,000 BTU AC ran into some technical issues. When I got in touch with Van in customer support, I was hoping to get some assistance, but was very pleasantly surprised with the level of support I received. He resolved my issue immediately and genuinely jumped through hoops to make it happen. Very grateful.

Really Like this AC buts its not super powerful or super cold. Its more modest which isnt necessarily a bad thing, just depends on your preference. However that makes it very quiet which is nice.

It is as quiet as it was advertised, it was very easy to assemble as advertised.

A few days ago we received our new air conditioner (the Whisper Tech 8000 BTUs), and we couldn't be happier! It's been a miserable, hot and humid summer for the most part, and our old AC kept freezing up and not working. Windmill customer service was extremely helpful in resolving that. The new AC only took minutes to install and was working perfectly by the time we cleaned up the box material. Now we can cook dinner again... yea!

I don’t usually spend time reviewing products but this one was definitely warranted. Purchased the 12,000 BTU with the hope that it would cool off (at least a little bit) 2 rear bedrooms that share a Jack and Jill bath room and it does! And it does it well with both bathroom doors open and the main hallway closed off...which far exceeded my expectations- the rooms are actually really cool. Packaging was A+ and the install painless. It requires no bracket and fits snuggly in the window. It’s been a few weeks now and couldn’t be happier.

It’s still a window unit. It still makes noise. And because the air goes up, it doesn’t seem to cool as quickly. It sure was easy to install and it is good looking.

Great little AC. Straightforward installation with clear instructions. Nice app. They even include the batteries for the remote and a scissors for installation. Attractive unit and efficient. Prompt delivery. I’m happy!

We sent back a cheaper China-made model to a box store that sold it. It simply didn't work and seemed quite flimsy. We read about Windmill being stationed in the Big Apple, was impressed by what we read, paid more, and are so thoroughly satisfied, we would recommend this unit to everyone!
