Then, fully charge the camera before using it, as it cannot be used while charging. Next, correctly insert the printer paper, ensuring it's in the right direction and extending it 1 inch when closing the lid. If printing fails, double-check the paper's orientation and extension. If the screen shows blue stripes or the camera won't turn on/off, reset it with a thin pin. Q: How to flip camara to take selfie. I bought a sd card to save the pictures and be able to take videos. The camera is not taking the sd card. I maid sure to get it the right one but it is not taking it

Q: Is the thermal paper used for this registered BPA free? kids handling, thermal paperis a particular concern because of BPA, which is a hormone disruptor, that has a significant role in physical development

This is a great gift for 7-10 year olds. My daughter really enjoys this & it's easier (and cheaper) for her to take pictures than those polaroid type cameras. Although the pictures are black and white, they are still very fun. It's a little tricky to get the paper in, but otherwise a great alternative to other more expensive starter cameras.

This camera was a lot of fun, but I was hoping with it being digital, that I could take a picture digitally, then print out after the fact (stated in the user manual), but the system shuts down as soon as the print message comes up. Otherwise the instant print function works great, but doesn't let me make copies or save a digital version

I really like the size of this camera and even though at first the buttons were a little confusing to me, I think my four year-old figured them out faster than I did. In order to have any kind of memory, you do need to purchase an SD card separately, but after my four-year-old got a hold of it we discovered you can take about eight photos on the camera itself. The heat transfer pictures print in black-and-white and turn out almost like a sketch. Very cute. My nine-year-old has now claimed it for herself and started taking pictures immediately.

As a mom of 3 kids, I was excited to try this camera. It’s such a cute way for kids to remember big moments or to just have fun and be creative. The camera is light weight and easy to carry. It is simple to use. The print quality isn’t very high, but still fun. It auto shuts off if dormant for 3 minutes, so that will save the charge. It requires a 32GB microSD card (not included) to store and edit. I just took pictures without the SD card. Looks like it uses the same light sensitive type paper card machines use. It would be a fun gift for anyone but don’t expect to take professional grade photos!

A hit with the kids, this GEMS kids instant camera is fantastic and so much better than competing alternatives for what it can do (record and playback video, still shots, mp3s) with a memory sim card (not included). Two rolls of thermal paper are included for hours of fun!

This is a pretty neat little electronic. A good size to carry for our child and it prints immediately. The image it prints leaves a smidge to be desired but it’s still not really a complaint for what the product is.

Super fun and cute first camera for kids! It has the option to add additional storage via micro usb to print photos from your computer or at a print shop as well as take videos! The thermal printing is so fun and can be used without the additional storage, my son loves to take pictures and hang the thermals on his wall! He has gotten the hang of it pretty easy and it seems to be sturdy and well built for kids but with cool additional features like funny overlays! Very happy and so is my 8 year old

I think this is a great camera for kids. It is very durable- my son dropped it almost right away😂! The pictures aren’t super high quality once printed, but it is a thermal printer, so it’s just in black and white. I love the color of the camera and how it’s compact, so it can easily fit in a bag or Mom’s purse, where everything ends up! It has a lot of fun features and one of our favorites was the borders to put along your pictures. The camera does go into selfie mode and you can also take videos. It doesn’t come with a micro sd card, but it will store some images directly to the camera if you don’t have one. My biggest complaint is the instructions aren’t very clear, so you really have to figure some things out on your own. I asked my son what he didn’t like about it and he said the pictures are hard to tear off. I didn’t think they were too bad to tear off, but I tore them off slowly. Overall, it’s a great product and would be a great gift idea for kids!

This camera has some great features for kids it’s durable, the thermal print quality is surprisingly clear, and the filters are cute and entertaining. It takes both photos and videos, the resolution is decent, and the size is perfect for small hands. Installing the paper was a breeze, which is a big plus. However, I find it’s not as user-friendly as advertised on the box, for ages 6 and up. The controls are confusing, with multiple functions tied to the same buttons depending on how long you press them. The directions don’t clearly explain this, which led to frustration for both the kid and the adults trying to help. It definitely has a learning curve that’s not ideal for younger users. Also, it requires a 32GB SD card to fully function, but this wasn’t clearly communicated and caused confusion when we tried to use it without one. Overall, a decent camera once you figure it out—but definitely could be more intuitive for kids.

This is a great little camera for children. The print quality is decent, but it’s just OK because it’s only in black-and-white. The paper is very similar to receipt paper, which makes it easy to tear off once the photo has printed. The camera charges pretty quickly, but I feel like it used the charge quickly as well. I do wish it came with an SD card rather than having to purchase one separately. It is very easy for children to use and they really have a great time with it.

This Gems instant camera is cool. My son loves taking his own pictures and printing them. The prints are black and white while the actual camera is in color. There are options to adjust the camera’s clarity, darkness etc. This charges via usb which is great. This comes with 2 printing rolls of paper. Such a cool camera.
