GoodCook 12" Locking Tongs

the tongs do not line up when you close them. metal is very thin. Just buy the more expensive ones.

After buying these less than a year ago I’m going to trash them. Since I first got them they do not stay locked closed. If I put them in a drawer they snap open. If I put them in my tool holder they snap open. The latch on them is faulty. I am NOT happy!

They are not flimsy like other tongs that I previously purchased. It makes it easy to pick up steaks on the grill. The rubber handle also make it easier to pick up food without the risk of getting burnt.

The twelve inches allows you to have ample space to grab your food without having to stick your arm in the grill. The stainless steel tips are easy to clean and I like that they lock, so they can take up less space.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are certainly not top of the line tongs. They are flimsy right from the go, I can tell they are not going to last long in our busy kitchen. Look for a better brand, I especially like those with silicon tips that don't scratch my cookware.

Before I get started I should mention I bured my house down in 2016 while cooking and ever since I've been TERRIFIED of cooking! I burned it down while deep frying. So I only recently started deep-frying again and these tongs are amazing for my fear! Thry are super long which means I don't hsve to be super close and I don't hsve to worry about being popped by anything which usually causes me to jump which splashes oil. They also do not have those stupid black rubber *grips* on the end which food just slides off when grabbing! These are all metal and have a spoon like shape with fork type prongs all on the edges, perfect for crabbing and holding food so it doesn't slip! Which is a huge help!. The lock on them works great for storing these though not a help when using them but they are a help when put away in a drawer. Overall my new favorite, most used item in the kitchen!

The rubber on the handle is comfortable and makes them anti slip. The pull tab function at the end is easy to use when needing to keep the tongs held in the closed position. Overall these are great, easy to clean (toss them in the dishwasher) and the right length. The only thing to watch out for is scratching any pots and pans since the end of the tongs are metal.

The tongs are metal with a nylon hinge and locking tab, which makes them lightweight and easy to use. The locking tab keeps them secure and releases easily to open. The edges of the tongs are scalloped with makes for easy gripping of smaller food items.

My only complaint as I do not like that there is some plastic on the handle part. I wish that it was all stainless steel. But overall, I really love this product.

Perfect for grabbing anything that is frying or sauteing without oil jumping up at you. It is comfortable to hold with a rubber grip. It has a very effective locking mechanism that is very easy to use. I really love the "teeth" at the end of the tongs. Very effective at gripping your food without ripping it apart. I have been using these daily.

The ridges on the blades make for easy turning and flipping. The tong lock works well and stays locked in the draw. Overall a great set of tongs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a high quality pair of steel tongs that's a great tool in the kitchen. It's worked well for me primarily for serving spaghetti but has plenty of other uses. The build quality is solid and I imagine it will be quite durable for future use.
