  • A: The digital soundtrack album has 12 tracks w/ bonus instrumental track "Ozdust Duet". The movie's score "Wicked: The Original Motion Picture Score 2-LP" has 26 instrumental tracks not on soundtrack.

Q: What songs are on each record? I'm just wondering how they put 11 songs on 2 records. I feel like 1 record would be better.

  • A: (ignore the screen name) Vinyl only runs at one speed, typically 33 1/3 RPM. For one minute of music, it has to spin 33 1/3 times. Each side is ~20 min. More than that equals lower quality sound.

  • A: Since we don’t have track lengths yet, it’s hard to say why it had to be 2 records, but it isn’t surprising. Knowing you can fit 25 minutes on one side of a record and using the track lengths for the Original Broadway Cast recording, you could do it on one record, but the B side would only have 30 seconds to spare. So if they added any amount of length to any of the songs from Dancing Through Life through Defying Gravity, it may have just been impossible. But to answer your first question, here’s the songs on each side of each record according to Republic Records. Disc 1 A1. No One Mourns the Wicked - Ariana Grande ft.
