Highlights

Coarse Carding Knife: The Groomer Essentials Coarse Carding Knife is a dog grooming tool for carding, the removal of the soft, dense undercoat beneath the topcoat.
Made for Coarse Hair: This carding knife is designed for dogs with coarse hair, such as terriers, schnauzers, Airedales and Westies, and is used for undercoat removal and stripping.
Leaves the Topcoat Intact: The blade removes undercoat without cutting the topcoat, so groomers can thin the undercoat while the outer coat stays in place.
Stainless Steel Blade: A sturdy stainless steel blade gives the knife a durable edge for regular use on the grooming table, for hand stripping and thinning wiry coats.

Description

Carding is a grooming term - and process - to describe the removal of a dog's undercoat. The undercoat is the soft, short, downy and dense hair under the top (or outer) coat. The Groomer Essentials Coarse Carding Knife is an ideal tool for removing undercoat without cutting topcoat. It's designed with a sturdy stainless steel blade and a classic wooden handle.
