While there is no harmful chemicals in our shampoos, some dogs are sensitive to certain plant oils used in this product. Wahl suggests you talk to your vet prior to use. It is also important to do a spot test just to verify your pet is not going to have a reaction. Please do this even if your vet gives you the Ok to use the shampoo. Immediately after getting her bath, my Yorkie started acting strange. She was running around frantically and rubbing on everything in site. She developed hives all over her body. She has been itching for days and some of the bumps are still bothering her. She’s never had a reaction to any shampoo. I regret trying this one!

Bumps and scabs just like other reviews. I've owned multiple dog breeds in the past 30 + years and purchased many different dog shampoos. I've never had any dig have a allergic reaction to shampoo. Thanks for a trip to our vet and medicine to alleviate my Jack Russell's condition. What a waste of my time, pups skin trauma and a $100 vet visit. 52 one star reviews...really

Please don't use this. it made both of my Dogs skin super dry and they are itching and flaking like crazy. my youngest chihuahua who is 6 has blisters all over her belly and my oldest who is 16 has irriated spots as well.

We've been using this for our now five year old lab pointer mix girl dog for over two years at this point. Labs shed like crazy. This helps a lot and gets rid of her need to itch. It also makes her super soft while getting rid of the dirt and grime. We've never had a problem with the shampoo giving her skin irritation. If anything it gets rid of her irritation and itchyness.

So far, so good. My American Bully has very sensitive, but this shampoo didn’t irritate his skin at all. It side up pretty well without using too much. And it keeps him smelling good for awhile.
