Dog had severe allergic reaction
I agree with many reviewers that this product is thin and doesn’t lather well. I first used it a month ago and my dog developed multiple hot spots. After those fully healed and cleared up, I bathed her again this week and she developed hot spots the next day. It was definitely this shampoo (has never happened with other shampoos) and overall I’m very unhappy with this product for my dog. Throwing out the bottle- hopefully other dogs don’t have this problem but I would like to caution other customers.

I would give this zero starts if I could. This is pure water and doesn’t lather at all. Absolutely garbage.

Low Lathering
Not for people who want a decent lather to clean their dirty dog. Very low lathering - my husband used HALF of a 32 oz. bottle to bathe our large German shepherd!! I tried to convince him that low lather doesn’t mean it’s not cleaning, but he says it’s really hard to know if you’ve spread the shampoo around adequately to all areas on such a large animal without “lather feedback.” If natural is most important, you may like it. Left our dog smelling & feeling clean & soft. If you need that lather to make you feel like it’s doing the job, you will use a HUGE amount, especially for a large dog.

What happened??
I had been using this for years but the last two bottles were horrible. I'm currently looking to reduce my plastic so it was upsetting to fly through a bottle so quickly. After googling around, i decided to try dr bronners bar soap and it's great! Awesome lather and four baths over two furry 40lb dogs, and it's still going!

Terrible product!!!
I have used Burt's Bees Oatmeal Dog Shampoo for years. I was very happy with your product. I purchased a bottle to shampoo my black lab 2 days ago. I was shocked with the poor quality. Watery, non lathering, non cleaning, replaced thick, creamy, great lather shampoo that I was accustomed to for years. Do not buy unless Burt's Bees returns to the previous formula. P.S. I went back to the store and checked 6 additonal bottles. They were all terrible!

We’ve only ever used Burt’s Bee’s so I can’t compare to other brands, but the shampoo is so gentle that I wouldn’t want to chance anything else. It smells natural and not at all overpowering. It doesn’t make my boy itchy and after a bath with it, his coat is so fluffy and luscious.
