A: This shampoo is plant based and is gentle. We do recommend keeping it out of your pets eyes however. Like with any shampoo, please do a spot test prior to use to make sure your pet does not have an allergic reaction and talk to your vet. My 10 year old beagle mix LOVES this shampoo. I have tried other brands and they just don't have the same impact. I appreciate everything from the lather, to the scent, to the price, to the size - it's a great value. Because it's concentrated, I mix it into a travel size bottle with 25% water, give it a good shake, and don't have to use too much. When I first got it I didn't mix it and felt like it didn't lather as well and it would take longer to rinse it out. But once I got the travel bottle and added some water, we found the perfect formula that leaves my pups coat shiny, smooth, and a delight to smell. If she's having a less active week, sometimes the smell is still detectable days later. I highly recommend this product!

Lavender & Chamomile blend not only smells good but it also has a calming effect on people and pups. A little goes a long way. It lathered up really well. My boy was smelled great and his fur was nice and soft after his bath. I’d definitely buy this again!

The lavender scent seemed to calm him down as we kept bathing him. The lather is nice. It made his coat nice and soft, clean, and helped with detangling his long fur. After the wet dog smell went away, he smelled like lavender! The only thing I'm disappointed about is the sturdiness of the lid on the bottom. It broke while we were bathing somehow.

0 stars*** My 6 month puppy got hives from this product after 2-3days after use. Nothing changed in his diet, only the shampoo cause a reaction. It has a nice fragrance but it's not worth the risk. His vet bill cost more than that shampoo. Returned it right away. Burts bees oatmeal works wonders for my dog.

Second, I LOVE that it’s alcohol free and parade free. The ONLY reason it didn’t get 5 stars from me, is because it does have SLS (Sodium Laureth Sulfate) in it which can dry out the dog’s skin if used too much.

However, the smell after the bath was completed and my dog dried was pretty awful. I felt he smelled worse than before his bath. Therefore I am not pleased with the scent of the product at all and will not be using again.
