It mixed my milkshakes very well and even stirred well when I added candy. I also used this to make frappes. It's compact, doesn't take up much counter space and is very durable. We host game night once a week and it's become apart of that tradition. It's so easy to handle that the kids to do it too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Super cute drink mixer! This makes one drink at a time and it’s a convenient size for the counter top. It has a stainless steel mixing cup which makes the drinks cold. The only thing I dont like is it’s a little loud when mixing chunks of things. It has a low and high speed and the mixing shaft is removable for easy clean up. Would recommend. Fun drink mixer for summer!

The operation was so very smooth. Cleanup was a breeze. My next use is going to be to froth milk for my morning coffee. I cannot wait to see how well it works for that.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was happy to receive a Hamilton Beach DrinkMaster for reviewing purposes. It has that retro feel of bygone days and while not as heavy and substantial as the old school version, it still gets the job done. The model is mostly plastic but designed fairly well, so it doesn't tip over. The cup holder and rest are also plastic and don't seem likrly to stand the test of time. The cup is metal but desperately needs measurement marks on it. You need to measure your liquids, or inevitably, it will spill out when mixing. The directions tell you at least 4 ounces of liquid but much more than that, and you'll have a huge mess. You can't quite get down to the bottom of the liquid to much it, so often, there are unmixed ingredients in the very bottom. The tilt feature is very nice, as is the second speed. And it's surprisinglyIpowerful. I would choose a regular blender or stick blender over this, unfortunately, for daily use. But it does provide a lot of retro fun. It would be ideal for a (supervised) ice cream party for kids or seniors. Thank you for the opportunity of testing it.

She is 12 years old and can make milkshakes better than any restaurant or ice cream shop around, with this thing! The mint color is beautiful! It is not loud so you can make drinks and milkshakes when others might be sleeping. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a good drink mixer that seems like it will last a long time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In reviewing this milkshake / drink mixer (#1 icecream lover) in my head i was back in the 1950s way before i was born, reality in my kit hen using this awesome HB drink (milkshake) mixer and absolutely are loving it. Lets dive in for details. Came well packaged. Unpacked the cord is plenty long for those hard to reach sockets. The feet have little suctions on it which in prevoius similiar products this wasnt available. The saying the little things , works wonderful vs a machine sliding all over the place. Im over here mixing w one hand now. The fashion color brings back the 1950s.. what a great finishing touch. Plenty of mixing power as long as you can adjust your liquid what a perfect drink and a great shake you will serve. The height of the machine is great as if you have to unhook to do some manual mixing or if you need to remove the stainless cup to pour and serve.. HB keep up the great work and thank you for bringing some history with this mixer. Highly recommended

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We absolutely love this mixer!! It was so easy to make delicious milkshakes and smoothies. My young son has found his new favorite kitchen roll. Just add the ingredients, set the speed and 2 minutes later, a perfect drink. Be sure that you GENTLY move the cup up and down and side to side to thoroughly mix the ice cream or crushed ice. The unit is very easy to clean and the turquoise color is so pretty. It's sturdy but lightweight and the dual speed is exactly what you need to make whatever fun drinks you want to create.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is not a top of the line pro drink mixer, it’s a great budget appliance that’s affordable, works, and looks great on the counter without taking up much space. I have made several milkshakes with it following the instructions. It’s not a set it and forget it process, I find I get the best results holding the cup and moving the mixing wand around in the cup rather than just leave the cup attached to the machine. I think it’s easier to control the thickness much better this way. The metal cup is great but carefully read the volume measurement for it because it’s a bit smaller than what you would receive in a restaurant. The only con for this appliance is that the wand is not all metal and to clean it after use, you have to yank it out of the machine with your hand while it’s covered in milkshake. It is very messy and they should have included a button to eject the wand and for this reason I give the drink mixer 4 starts instead of 5. Follow the tips in the instructions and this is a really fun way to make milkshakes and cocktails.

Also love how it’s a simple non-click system where it just rests and spins so it’s less that could break. You can pull the cup out to be able to blend better. My oldest said he felt like he was working in an ice cream shop. The metal cup is just the right size and it attaches easily to the metal arm. It blends quickly and in a matter of seconds your drink is ready. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Hamilton Beach DrinkMaster Drink Mixer is a nice compact drink mixer. After making our favorite drinks milkshakes this drink mixer has left me with mixed feelings. I love the mint color of the drink mixer which has acceptable length in the electric cord so that’s a plus. This drink mixer for making personal sized drinks which is ideal for the hubby and myself. When making milkshakes the drink mixer has an adjustable top head piece that can lift back and forth to help place the cup under the spinner/mixer easier but the top piece does not lock or stay in place and snaps back if you are not holding it. The spinner/mixer removable which I love because this makes cleaning this piece so much easier and nicer. When placing the cup under the spinner/mixer there are attachments on the mixer for the top and bottom of the cup so the cup can sit while mixing. There are 2 mixing speeds. I found when using on first speed the sound is very loud and not as loud when moving the speed to second speed. Now when it comes to actually mixing the ice cream for the milkshakes the mixer did not perform as well as I thought it should. The ice cream was not really mixing in the cu on either speeds even if I tried to move the cup around while mixing. If I tried adding milk, the closer to the top it got the milkshake started to shake outside the cup. Could not get all the ice cream to mix. I liked that the bottom of drink mixer has 4 rubber place stoppers to hold the appliance in place. This was a nice bonus. There is definite room for improvement with this appliance but it will do good for a quick fix.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The DrinkMaster Drink Mixer is an amazing tool for the kitchen that makes mixing a breeze! The unit itself is compact, lightweight, and takes up very little counter space. It was easy to unpack and assemble. The power cord is the perfect length for kitchen configuration. The instruction booklet was simple and easy to understand. I opted to try making a chocolate coffee shake following the recipe provided in the instruction booklet. I added the ice cream and coffee to the provided mixing cup, set the cup in the mixing holders, and turned the machine on low. Wow, it sure does mix quickly. There are two speeds, slow and fast. The switch only requires a very light touch, so be careful at how quickly the machine will start up. Moving the mixing cup around the mixing shaft can help with larger scoops of ice cream. In no time at all I had a lovely chocolate coffee shake. The mixer worked well on vinegar and oil salad dressings. The herbs, vinegar and oil were placed in the mixing container on the low setting. After about two minutes I had creamy French vinaigrette dressing for my salad. The dressing was so well mixed it did not ever separate. The mixing cup has a maximum capacity of 12 ounces for successful mixing. If making multiple shakes or smoothies, some additional mixing cups might be a good idea. The instructions also say to mash fruit before putting it in the mixing cup. The shaft is not a blender, but a great high speed mixer. This is a great tool for the kitchen especially if you do not want to get out a full size blender for simple mixing. I can see it being useful in so many ways.

The color is so pretty and the size is perfect for my counter that is not too bulky. It's really easy to use and I love how simple it is to clean. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first saw this nostalgia hit, it looks like the drink mixers in the diner we used to stop at many years ago. I love shakes and malts so this was a must have. The manual has a couple of recipes to which give starting amounts of ingredients. The 1/2 cup of milk looked like it was too little but once the ice cream was added it brought it to a good level. It didn't seem to blend well at first but I think the ice cream was too hard, once it softened a bit it blended very well and produced a smooth drink. I am going to experiment with amounts but I am very much looking forward to making a lot of malts and shakes in the coming summer months.
