I'm returning these blankets for 2 reasons.
1. I ordered WHITE and it is NOT WHITE.
2. The blankets SHED SO MUCH IT'S RIDICULOUS. My clothes were covered, my lint trap was overflowing. Lint everywhere, even after washing and drying twice.
Don't do it!
The blanket is not a thick blanket, which if you are looking for a "summer" blanket, it would alright. I wanted a heavier blanket for the winter months so was a tad disappointed that it doesn't have a heavier weight to it. Also, when I washed/dried it before using, the lint collector in the dryer was very full! Have only had it a week (it is used on a guest bed) so it's been used only a couple of times. Will see how well it holds up after a few more washes.
I like the cotton type blanket because it's easy care and doesn't shed lint, lose it's shape, or color. My grandchildren do not care for it because it isn't real soft and silky like their other blankets. The blanket does hold warmth and is heavy enough to stay put during sleep.
Unfortunately this blanket was shedding fibers so I washed it and could not believe the gobs of navy fibers left in my washing machine. Between the fibers in washer & lintel in dryer it must now have 1/3 less material. It made a mess. We'll see if it stays together after more washings.
Like the others said in their reviews, the "white" blanket is NOT white. It is ivory/cream. The invoice and package says "white" but no, it is not at all white. Know this before you buy! The blanket is also rather thin, which probably explains the lower price.
I do not recommend. Initially they look very good and are soft. However, after the first wash they lost a TON of lint. It is the most lint I have ever seen in the washing machine and dryer. There were gobs and gobs of lint to the point that I though the blankets (I have two identical ones) had fallen apart in the washing machine. Also they faded and became a lighter gray. Once dry they looked and felt okay and did not look tattered. But I had to lose so much mass of the fibers in the washing process.
