A Little Magic
Book came in perfect condition! When I decided to blind read books in 2024, I was both excited and nervous about the reads I may begin. This book came so highly recommended, I had to jump in. I began to read and I was sucked right into the story. I became one of the siblings and found my place. I learned about magic, being a doctor, different religions, and most of all - belief in things that are unknown, faith. This book has sections narrated by the different siblings. I enjoyed the writing, the details, and most of all / the characters. I could relate, feel their pain, laugh with their joy, and felt like Gertie was my mom too! I love you all!

Loved it!
purchased this book at random shortly after it came out and started creating buzz. I’m so glad that I did! It is a very inspiring story that basically anyone on earth could identify with one way or another. Sometimes books come along your path at a certain time in your life for a message you need to read or hear. They come as signs that fate and the universe are working WITH you. This book did that for me. This book includes SUCH rich character details and really adds to the depth of the story. The author did such a fabulous job (so much so that halfway through reading the book, I googled the author to find more books written by them!!!) The Immoralists tackles issues such as the fine line between destiny and freedom of choice, reality and illusions, this world or the next. It is a deeply moving testament to the long familiarity of the family bonds that we all have experienced, good or bad.

Life lessons
Overall, it’s a good book kind of weird too. It does have some graphic immoral plots. It’s a type of book that you need to pay attention to every detail because if not, you will get lost. The ending kind of left me wondering oh what happens next. It teaches you a good lesson about how family is first and how we may regret our life choices that we chose at a young age.

Not my cup of tea
The writing is decent but it felt like she just took four contraverstal topics and quilted them together. It's more like 4 short stories than one cohesive book and it was depressing without much in the way of hope or redemption. There were also characters I was interested in that just felt forgotten and pointless. Not a fan.
