Description
Book Synopsis
A biographical account of the 'initiations', both occult and mystical, of a Paris doctor in 19th century Paris.
This book follows the esoteric encounters and learnings of a Paris doctor from his mysterious friend Andreas, plus the enigmatic background presence of Theophane, the true healer. Presented in a deceptively simple narrative form, it distils and encodes a lifetime's esoteric and mystical knowledge in a way which serves as a very real initiation for the perceptive reader.
It explains in the simplest way, how one can reach into the ultimate depths of the human soul, all the problems dealing with modern and ancient occult philosophy and spiritual searching, as well as social and political conundrums of this and probably also future periods.
Translated from the French by the noted hermeticist and mystic, Mouni Sadhu.
About the Author
Mouni Sadhu (17 August 1897 - 24 December 1971) is the pen name taken by Dymitr Sudowski an occultist, spiritual teacher and author. The word "mouni" means "silent" and "sadhu" refers to a wandering holy man. The author has studied many paths on the route to self-realization, from Western Magic and Hermeticism to the yogic teachings of Ramana Maharshi and is therefore uniquely qualified to relate the truths in this book.
His writings are a wealth of practical and useful information and advice. His books cover subjects such as concentration, meditation, spiritual growth, the higher consciousness Theurgy and the Tarot.
