So good! Perfect balance of flavors: just the right amount of lemon juice to make it slightly tart. No overpowering tahini taste like other brands.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] All Ithaca Hummus are very high quality, fresh and nutritious, but the Classic is specially versatile because you can eat it as a deep for healthy snacks or add it to a variety of dishes such as sandwiches, salads, and I even add it to my hot pasta dishes for an extra dosis of healthy plant protein.

My favorite hummus! So much better than anything else you can buy at the store. Love the lemon garlic version also. (I never write reviews but felt compelled when I saw some of the negative ones— I don’t know how anyone could like hummus but not like this - it’s the best!!)

I definitely think that it tastes like the ingredients are fresh and good, so all things being equal it really just comes down to the ratios and preferences. For me, there is just a tad too high of a ratio of lemon, but someone else may strongly dislike hummus the way I like it which is to have a lot of garlic and less lemon... so I hesitate to knock off any points for that because I recognize that it is purely preference. And I do still like it, It's actually really good. The texture is amazing and you can definitely tell the ingredients are of good quality. I want to try one of the other varieties to give this brand one more shot, It's a little expensive compared to other brands and to making it at home - but if I find one I like I think it's worth it. I wish they had an extra garlic one (not roasted garlic which seems very popular right now, just extra garlic).

I read the ingredients, it says it had red pepper, though it does not specify red BELL pepper. I am allergic to bell peppers, but ate the hummus since I can have red peppers, and this is what the ingredients say.

I bought this recently really hoping I could support a Centeal NY business. We'll no so much. Although it is smooth and creamy I'm stumped as why you would even put lemon in it and even more stumped on why so much. I found it to be bitter on my tongue and leaves an after taste, I really felt like scraping my tongue off after eating it. Classic means simple and straight forward not foo-fooing it up. You can do better. How about try naming one "Just plain Hummus" and leave it that way. I'll buy someone else's before I buy this again. Ick....
