Besides the colors being off (sole is more gray, upper is lighter in color than in photo) there's a pinched area under the leather that hosts the eyelets on one shoe. Has this been a more expensive shoe I probably would have returned it. But given the price and the fact that it was otherwise exactly what I want, it's fine.

I’ve been trying to get this shoe for quite awhile. I guess the fact that it’s been on back order speaks to its popularity. The hallmark for most of my J and M shoes is their great fit and comfort right out of the box. This shoe can be as dressy or as casual as needed, and has been very comfortable over long periods of wear. I’m not a huge fan of the laces that come with most J and M shoes but it’s certainly not a dealbreaker. Try a pair before they’re gone again.

I have worn Johnston & Murphy for years. I ordered my normal size. As others have commented, they were really stiff and irritated my ankle and gave me blisters on the toes. I figured they would loosen up a bit, but after 6 or so wears, that hasn’t happened. It’s a shame because I really wanted to love these shoes.
