Shoes got that "worn in" look quickly. Great with casual pants!

A very classy shoe for work and casual attire. Very comfortable to walk long distances in. I wish the sole on the outside could be darker, which is my only knock

Nice shoe with a clean design, fits about a 1/2 size larger than other shoe's I've worn from J&M before. I'm usually a 10. 5, but wear an 11 in these.

Twice now the shoes midsole has separated from the leather and creased at the toe box. Disappointed.

Love these shoes. My wife had been on me to upgrade my casual shoe to something more modern. These are not only fashionable but comfortable.

I started with J&M over 2 years ago. I don’t even look at any other brands anymore. From athletic shoe to casual and boots . . never had a bad pair! I think I’m up to 11-12 pairs😄

I just transitioned out of the Army so I need to upgrade my wardrobe. This is my second pair of J&M and these shoes offered the comfort and style that I was looking for.

I ordered this shoe and the sole separated within one day of wearing. I will be returning.

The item came in and looked way lighter of a tan than in the images. I had to return the item due to this.

This is my 3rd or 4th pair of McGuffeys. I ordered the same size and width as usual. This pair does not feel as soft and is much tighter than the others. Will take some wear to stretch out.

These look really nice and are comfy, but they are squeaky.

I bought these 5 months ago and they were awesome. Love the look and they are extremely comfortable. However, after about 3 weeks of wear they developed a squeak or rather a creak. After about another month or two of wear i figured out the creak is coming from somewhere between the sole of the shoe and midsole (under the insole insert). I thought maybe this would wear out of them but that hasn't been the case, it has only grown from a nuisance to a flat out annoyance to to point of not being able to wear the shoes at all.

These are the third pair of McGuffey plain toes I’ve purchased. The first tail are older (brown and black). I bought a new brown pair as my older brown pair are wearing out after 8 years. The new shoes look great. However, although they’re the same exact size as my older pair 10 1/2 M), they are much more narrow and hurt my feet. Unfortunately, I assumed they would stretch out with more wear, but that is not happening. I have resorted to wearing my work out Older McGuffeys while I look for a new replacement.

this is my favorite pair of shoes I have ever owned.

My left shoe starts the day squeaking then gets quiet around mid afternoon. But the right shoe starts squeaking. It’s coming from the insole below my arch. Very frustrating bc the shoe is super comfortable. I just don’t like announcing myself all day long

Shoes look nice but a couple considerations. #1) The sole inserts have a plastic/rubber bottom that rubs against the bottom of the shoe with same type of material.... so it squeaks a bit when walking. #2) yes, they are water proof but they have the comfort and feel of a rubber boot.

They fit my wide feet well and are very comfortable. But there is a squeak (that I can feel) in the midfoot insole that is difficult to get rid of. I feel like there should be a forum or something since I see this issue on a lot of j&m shoes

Nice looking shoe but the squeak horribly on any floor other than carpet. Embarrassing.

The shoe is probably great, I had a loafer of the same style that has been awesome for the last five years. Problem is that J&M seems to have lost the personal attention to the person who purchases their products. This shoe arrived smaller than the loafers of the same size. When I emailed customer support to see if I could exchange at a local retail store or was I required to exchange by mail, I received back a lengthy FAQ-like response that felt like it was constructed by a lawyer and copied and pasted by an indifferent J&M representative. In the end, the simple answer was that I will be able to exchange at a J&M store. I look forward to wearing these shoes. I did reply to the response with thanks for the depersonalized answer and was sent another email apologizing for the misunderstanding. There was no misunderstanding. I asked a simple question and received a long and drawn out answer that felt like it could have been provided by AI software. I was satisfied with the shoes. Dissatisfied by the way my question was answered. I realize I’m a $$$ to J&M and the realization is unpleasant because I I’ve been wearing their shoes for 20 years and once equally appreciated the people who I interacted with.
