This book❤️ Totally worth all of the hype! And I’m really sad that it’s over. Literally finished it in 1 day, I could not put it down! From start to finish, I was hooked! This one gave me a serious case of butterflies in my tummy! I just loved it! The witty banter was adorable, & their interactions felt so genuine & heartwarming. I enjoyed the parallels between their stories. And both dealing with complicated relationships with their mothers, which created a strong connection between them. Themes of starting over, letting go, mental health, found family, & choosing yourself were beautifully woven throughout the book. Couldn’t get enough!

Omgggg. This was my first book of Abby Jimenez’s and it was seriously so good. As you read, you’re taken on an emotional roller coaster. The author was so detailed to the point where I felt like I was there in the book with the characters in real life. Truly, everything was so easy to visualize! She has a great sense of humor too. I laughed, I cried, I related, and overall I just found myself really feeling the emotions that the characters did. There were so many times where I had to unscrunch my eyebrows or relax my shoulders and remind myself that it was just a book! 😂 Highly recommend 💖💖

I put off reading this for so long because I knew it would suck me in and I’d have to read it in a day and I wouldn’t be able to think about anything else until I finished it. I knew it would make me laugh and cry, break my heart and then mend it again. And I was so right. Abby Jimenez is an incredible storyteller with such a gift at writing characters. I absolutely LOVED Just For the Summer!! One of my favorite books of the year and possibly ever. Please please please read it for yourself! But read the rest of her books first so you can catch all of the crossovers and Easter eggs. 😉

Just for the Summer by Abby Jimenez. This was not only chosen at random, but also a blind read. I knew the author looked familiar, but I couldn’t place her right off. Then I read her bio and realized it was from Food Network! This book was absolutely brilliant! I couldn’t put it down! I laughed. I cried. I read it out loud to my mom. I thoroughly enjoyed the writing style. I loved the attention to detail within the scenes and how easy it was to connect with the characters. Emma makes it easy to resonate with her character. Justin is the dream date we never get to have. Maddy is the friend we all under appreciate. I cannot wait to dive into another book by Abby.
