I literally loved this book so much. It was one of those stories where I got attached to the characters really fast, and everything felt like super real instead of cheesy or overdramatic. The relationship development was actually done so well, and it made me feel a lot of emotions without being cringey. I also liked that it wasn’t just about romance, but also about friendship and growing up, which made it feel more meaningful. It also doesn’t super steamy scenes, and it just gives off the best summer vibes imo. I genuinely didn’t want it to end, and it left me thinking about it after i finished. I hope Haley makes more bangers like this in the future!

Haley Pham is my favorite YouTuber, but also my new favorite author. Her writing and imagery made me feel like I was in the tiny town of Seabrook. She is amazing and I hope to see her continue to write more books!

This book got me back into reading ◡̈

SO good! 1st of all, the cover illustration is perfect! The colors are grabbing, and the art has details that are woven into the story. Haley is an awesome story teller. I couldn’t put the book down. I was quickly captivated by the personality of the characters. I like how it weaves back and forth between present and past, but was never confusing. The emotions & grief I’ve felt in the past with my dad’s passing (when I was in college) are beautifully written. I have felt so many moments and not been able to put them into words, and the whole time I was reading this, I was like, “Yes! That’s it! That’s how it really is.” So so good! I teared up a few times. I like that there were multiple stories among supporting characters, but still all related to the love story between Blair & Declan. It’s cleanly written and appropriate for all ages. The romance in this story is real love, with a few scenes where lips meet, but nothing more. No sexy time inferred. I loved that a few pages of Haley’s annotations were included in the end. After “meeting” her on Ryan Trahan’s 50 States in 50 Days YouTube series, Haley’s own personality comes through in her character development. This book felt personal & real. It’s worth the read and I can’t wait to see what’s next!

I absolutely LOVED this book. Sure, I watch Haley on YouTube, which made the read so interesting to follow because she posted her journey about the book. Aside from that, I am a Christian mom of 2 and it kept me hooked. No uncomfortable 'spice' and a great storyline to follow. It was one of those books that gave me all of the emotions, I laughed, cried, laughed, cried, and was all stupid and giddy about the romance. 5 stars!

Not much of a reader. The only book I constantly read is the Bible. Mostly so I don’t have to buy more books, especially when I knew I would read some of it just to put it down and forget about it for all of eternity. As a guy I was hesitant to buy this book for reasons I thought are obvious. I bought it anyway. And it did not disappoint. I actually finished the book. It took me 6 hours across 3 nights. It was very good for a first book. This genre is new to me so I have no idea how to properly critique this. But I enjoyed it nonetheless. I thought she did a job at keeping me engaged and wanting to keep on reading past 1 in the morning. I did think the main characters were a bit one dimensional, not much change between the X number of years they’ve been away. As I said this is my first book from this genre. Maybe that’s how it’s supposed to be. I recommend!

Amazing book

I am so proud of you Haley!!! I’m not usually a big fan of second chance tropes, but this book was absolutely amazing. I could not put it down. The characters and their journeys through grief were written so beautifully. The setting was so cozy and I loved the cute house pictures before each chapter.
