Major upgrade!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love how small and light the shelter packs down! I’ve mostly just brought it along on day hikes as an emergency shelter so haven’t actually used it a ton besides carrying it around. But you can tell thought went into the details which I appreciate. It’s actually one of my fave pieces of gear and that’s good bc that means I’m less likely to forego bringing an emergency shelter thats heavy or annoying. Like when I first started out I just had a tarp. Those things are so heavy and annoying! Upgraded to a tent footprint or sometimes a poncho. This is way better!
Amazing. Plenty big and worked

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a Double Roo hammock and it fully covers everything! Easy to set up, straps tighten in seconds, and no so much room underneath! Especially love how they come with good quality stakes and a great bag to pack everything up.
If there is only one shelter tarp I get to take on the deserted island..

It will be the Kuhli. I swear by it for all the basic needs, Dry, Shade and even repels icy snow clumps! So well in fact it is a clump trampoline. Love this fabric as it has a bit of stretch to it, allowing for nice tight tarp that don't sag and pool with water. We used a few of these to build a tarp village and made a downpour into a enjoyable weekend, until we had to take them down. Loved it so much I even upgraded to the Ultra. It's light and packs down small. I have used this at the beach as a sun shade for kids and dogs.
surprisingly light for how large and sturdy it is

yeah this thing isn't going to rip. I've done one trip with it so far. it's nice that the stakes have their own little pockets on the outside of the stuff sack.

Haven't had it long, but the Kuhli is the nicest tarp I've ever owned personally, and one of the nicest I've used over many years of being a sea kayak instructor and guide. In fairness, the "best" tarp I've ever personally owned has been a Kelty Noah's tarp (an older one, before the quality tanked a bit, and which my Kuhli replaces), but I've also now compared the Kuhli to rather ritzy options from MSR, the Kammok option compares pretty favorably. In any case, the Kuhli has everything I'd want in a decent shelter, namely well-sealed seams, solid ridgeline, reinforced tie-down points, good quality line at all of said tie-down points, easy-to-use quick tensioners on every line, and packs down nice and small. One minor downside is that the nifty little slots on the outside of the bag only hold 4 stakes total, which is a shame since it takes 8 to fully stake it down when setting up longways along the full ridgeline. I don't mind that it doesn't come with 8 stakes (4 is plenty much of the time), but 2 extra slots on the bag for the "missing" stakes would be preem. Overall, it's excellent value and great quality.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Lightweight, strong, easy to set up, versatile. Was considering this purchase for a while and really glad I finally bought one. Instantly went into my pack to replace a well know tarp that is now second fiddle to to kammock. Love the blue color too.

Lightweight and waterproof. So much better than a cheap tarp. Take this on all my camping adventures and it has never disappointed. Expensive, but worth it!

I've used my Kuhli once while hammock camping when it began pouring rain. Since then, my children enjoy setting it up in our front yard and it provides shade for all their make pretend adventures. I've sat under it while they were out drawing sidewalk chalk and even though it seems like the sun would heat the fabric, it's very cool and refreshing beneath. The only change I would make is wishing it came with its own poles or else that Kammok sold them separately. I would have bought that at the time of initial purchase and it would bring this review to an easy 5 stars.
Love it

The size really surprised me. Excellent coverage. I'd like to see the tarp shipped with 8 stakes instead of the usual 4 stakes.

Hi, thank you so much for reviewing the Kuhli! We're grateful to know the tarp has provided you shelter in the outdoors. We provide 4 stakes as this is the minimum needed to use your tarp, however we do have a stake pack you can use in addition to the ones included!
Kuhli Keeps Me Dry

I have owned the Kuhli tarp for several years. I have used it in a variety of situations including warm summer to cool winter. It has performed admirably in thunderstorms! I recently took it out for a 3 day trek on the Butterfield trail in the Boston Mountains of Arkansas. Of course it rained both nights on the trail. The tarp has yet to have a leak! The knotless tie outs and ridgeline I really appreciate. They have held in wind and thunderstorms.

After lots of research, I decided on this tarp for backpacking adventures. I have had the privilege to guide using this tarp for clients and it stands the test of time. Other guides in my outfitter, always ask about the Kuhli! Been in multiple hail storms and this tarp saved me multiple times. It’s easy to set up, it’s incredible at rain resistance, and it packs down light. Could not be more impressed by this product.

Good sized shelter that was easy to setup. Put it through the paces in storms two nights in a row and didn't get a drop in the hammock. Plus the blue makes it really easy to find in the woods.
