Ruined with new recipe
They changed the recipe. Not only is it bland and greasy now but it also gives me a stomach ache.

Use organic oats and cut down the sugar
I eat this cereal, but it would be better if it made with organic oats and cut the sugar content. If this cereal was organic oat I think would be a big sale

Changed the recipe.
The recipe has changed im soon disappointed. The used to bigger, thicker, darker more cinnamon flavor. Now they are all broken in the bag because they are thin, not as hard. I ate them as a snack. Now. Just super disappointed that my favorite snack is not any more.

I love these for portion control! I just don't like the chocolate cereal in it and wish it was replaced with something more likeable for all!

America needs more Cracklin' Oat Bran
This is the best cereal! I wish it wasn't so hard to find in stores! I've been eating this since I was a kid with my grandmother and I'm nearly ready to retire!

not as good as it used to be
I used to love this cereal, but the recipe has changed - not for the good. It's smaller, lighter in color, less flavor...just not that good. Won't buy again

Lots of burnt pieces
I like this cereal because it fills me up and I'm not hungry for a few hours after but over the past couple of years most boxes contain burnt pieces of cereal. I don't know how their quality control can fix this but it's so gross to take a bite and get that burnt taste. It's more than a few pieces, too so it's not like you can just pick them out. Also, it's one of the most expensive cereals you can buy so it's ridiculous that this is an issue.

Crazy expensive and too much cinnamon
Crazy expensive now. Bought a box for the first time in years. I recall more of an ‘autumn’ flavor from my youth—clove, etc. Now it’s an overpowering cinnamon flavor—not good.

Terrible change in new recipe
Have eaten this my entire life as my favorite “healthy bad cereal.” The new recipe is less sweet and has a chalky sawdust texture. It used to have a more robust crunch and richer, cinnamon sweet flavor. This is disappointing. Have bought a couple of times over the last two years and it has been inconsistent and somehow worse each time. It has no redeeming qualities.

Terrible now!
Absolute garbage now. Tastes like cinnamon candy dirt! Loved this cereal years ago, before the changes.

Used to be Great, poor at best now.
Used to be one of my favorites, but the recipe seems to have changed, much less flavorful, almost stale.

Scrumptious, crackly, flavorful!
This cereal has always felt like a sleep hit, to me. It's so delicious, but no one I know has ever tried it. I've eaten it as a semi-regular breakfast & snack for nearly 20 years. It tastes absolutely fantastic! It's a sweet, spiced, crunchy cereal. It does have a lot of calories & sugar per serving, but the serving size is also larger (per gram) than most other cereals—gram for gram it likely stacks up the same as others. Even though Kellogg's changed their formulation a number of years ago, it's still delightful. It does seem rather expensive, though, compared to most similar cereals.
