Description
Mega Man Adventures is a cooperative game for 1-4 players designed by Michael Kelley and Peter Gousis. Based on the classic video game franchise, Mega Man Adventures sees players take on the roles of Mega Man and his allies to battle against the nefarious Dr. Wily and his powerful Robot Masters. There are two main ways to play the game: as a quick single game, or as an ongoing campaign to eventually take on Dr. Wily himself! Players must plan their turns out by playing Action cards, using one for themselves and two others to support their fellow heroes with bonus abilities as they traverse deadly stages filled with traps, obstacles and enemies. Working together, the heroes will eventually each reach a dreaded Robot Master, who makes use of a unique boss pattern the players must decipher if they hope to defeat it and gain its signature weapon—handy when facing other Robot Masters or even Dr. Wily in his castle! Featuring enemies, stages and Robot Masters from Mega Man 1, Mega Man 2, and Mega Man 3, you can play through campaigns that recreate those titles, or mix and match to create your own customized one! Whether you're a fan of the video games or simply enjoy cooperative games, Mega Man Adventures is a quick-playing, action-packed game for everyone to enjoy!

Confusing Set Up & Play

This was a difficult game to set up and to understand. My teen and I worked on setting it up and reading through how to play and decided it wasn't worth the effort. If you love reading directions and have the time to learn set up well then this may be for you but if you're wanting to spend more time playing then figuring out how to play, this isn't it. Maybe knowing more about Mega Man would also help? Overall it sounded fun but wasn't worth the set up for us.

Both my husband and I grew up playing Mega Man and love the nostalgia this game brings. Even the box itself looks like a game cartridge! The game has a lot of bits and pieces and cards, but also has a very well written instruction book which makes learning the game rules quick and easy. This has options for one to four players. My family especially likes that we are all on the same team. Everyone wins or loses together, which creates a nice team effort during play. This has quickly become a staple during our family game nights.

Game night is something we started years ago and still to this day we do with our grown kids. This is one of the games that we play as a family our kids fell in love with it when it was just a video game, I like that we can continue on with the game from where we left off or just start a new game each time, The challenges that they come up with really challenge you and keep us on our toes. If you love a good mystery, entertaining family, fun game this is it.

These new board games from old video games are so fun. The box is reminiscent of the old software that would go into the console. This Mega Man game is made from quality materials and the user manual is easy to follow to play. Highly recommend for anyone who used to play these old video games for some fun nostalgia.
Well Made, but Confusing.

The Mega Man Adventures game is cleverly packaged and well made. It fell flat for me though because I was very confused how to play it. I was not very familiar with the Mega Man franchise. I think if you're a fan of the game you would enjoy the board game.
Just like the game!

This is literally the board game of the game, which is pretty cool. There are a lot of parts to get started but once you do, it’s easy to get going. The instructions are relatively easy to follow, it’s always difficult to put video to paper.
Cool Game!

If you're a Mega Man fan, then you'll absolutely love this game. It doesn't matter if you're an OG fan or a new fan, this game is so much fun. My husband and I (who are OG fans), played it with our 14 and 10 year old (who are both newer fans) and we had a blast! Give it a shot!

Super cool theming of this Mega Man board game. Has old school font and contains Mega Man 1,2,and 3. Listed for 14 years and up and honestly has some very extensive directions, a whole book. It will probably take us some time playing this game to understand and play it well. We are up for the challenge though. Would be a fun board game for fellow old school gamers.

This game is incredibly visually appealing. The graphics and thought that went into the details is amazing. The Mega Man Adventure Board Game is basically an RPG that you can play normally or in campaign mode. If you are a regular gamer, it should be pretty straight forward to jump in an play. If you are not a gamer, it is honestly a little overwhelming. The instructions are a booklet, and there are a ton of pieces, cards, and rules to follow. The box recommends ages 14+ and I would definitely agree with them. If your kiddos have a short attention span, this one might be a hard pass, but if you are a family of gamers, this is a super fun one to add to your collection.

Megaman board game is create for young teenagers 14 and up that love the video format but want try the boardgame version. I try it out myself and love that you can play alone or with friends also two different ways to play. You have a sturdy box that keep all the pieces together and can be display.I find instructions easy to understand and love cartoon characters in the pamphlet. We enjoy the game and will be playing after school or on rain days

Ya know, I forgot "Ice Man" existed, but this game reminded me of what a nightmare his stage was when I was a youngster. Played with my brother and his girlfriend, and had a lot of fun. Didn't love the solo version of the game quite as much - the Doctor Light cards were weird and felt a little too difficult. But this def checked the nostalgia box!

This is such a cute game :) The graphics are a comforting throwback to the original 1987 video game and I appreciate the attention to detail they gave. It’s a fun and unique addition to my game collection since it’s collaborative and even my friends who aren’t familiar with Mega Man like to play. I just wish the storage slots made it a little easier to keep the pieces organized after a game but that’s just a minor issue for me personally.
A lot of fun!

I do not know a lot about Mega Man video games, but this board game is a ton of fun even without understanding the IP. It’s cooperative, but everyone is working to beat their own stages. I like that players use support cards to help boost each other, and that our choices can actually help or hurt the adjacent players. It’s pretty easy to learn despite a hefty rule book. There is a shorter version of the game, which is what I usually play, or a longer version that lets you collect weapons and power up your character. I haven’t beat Dr. Wiley yet… he’s pretty hard, but it’s still a lot of fun, even when we lose. Definitely recommend if you enjoy dice based games and cooperative play. Even my friend who loves Mega Man says it does a good job at bringing the feels of Mega Man to the gaming table.

I got this for my friend who's really into board games and Mega Man and while I'm personally not into Mega Man, this was really fun to play with them! I usually play competitive games so having this be co-op was a cool change of pace. Definitely worth checking out!

I got this game as a gift for a friend and even though I am not really a Mega Man fan, I thought the game was really fun! I can really tell that the people who made the game are huge fans and their love for the original games really shines through even for someone who hasn't played much of them. I liked how the dice rolls really made it feel like i was running through a video game level and working together as a group to figure out how to beat a boss was awesome! I really recommend trying out this game even if you are not a Mega Man superfan!

Was immediately grabbed by the NES cartridge box design and decided to give this a try. While I'm a sucker for nostalgia, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the game is genuinely a ton of fun to play. The cooperative aspect of passing dice back and forth, discussing who's going to play which cards where, and getting through the stages is great. For me, the mark of a good game is skill expression, and I felt like my friends and I got better the more we played. Exceeded my expectations.

As a lifelong fan of this franchise and an avid tabletop gamer, this game hits at every angle. The nostalgia is incredible and there are TWO different styles depending on how much time you're able to commit. the customization left open between the first 3 games is super fun as well, allowing for unforeseen twists. Hope to see more from Kess, maybe some expansion packs? 😁 Keep up the great work and THANKS!
