Confusing as heck
This has such high ratings, but really, take a look at the photo of the game laid out. Now, if you want something not more complicated than Monopoly, Clue or Chess, just look at it. It took us 40 minutes just to set it up. It has what four decks of cards? Shop cards which get other cards put on top of them, so you got to match those. And read the directions to Step 2 alone. Really? Come on. My kid and I played a game of War with cards instead. It took about 3 minutes to get the hang of it. If you want them to give off the devices, please make some easier board games!

Very good game!
Love it! At first, it seems like it’s going to be difficult to learn, especially when you start reading the booklet. But I just went to YouTube and looked up a tutorial. After that we understood it completely and just had to use the booklet as a reference for certain abilities! The game is well crafted and requires a bit of strategy. Gameplay is never dull since you have to come up with a new strategy every new game with all the different Fancy Dragons and Shop abilities.

This game was a medium level learning curve. Not too bad. Nice, colorful artwork. But overall, pretty boring. One out of 4 of my kids thought it was fun, but wasn’t upset at the idea of giving it away when we were done. Better off going with Everdell or Botany. The one pro I’ll give it is that it’s easy enough for younger kids to play as long as someone can walk them through their turn options on the provided help card.

This is a great game. Very well thought out. There are so many shop/dragon combos that it keeps it fun and different each time you play. Very cute artwork on the cards, and the mat as the game board is a very nice touch.

super cute game thats fun for young kids and adults! Id agree with another review that 8yr olds or even 7yr olds could also play this. setup takes a few minutes and younger players would def need an adult to help keep score but such a great game and very fun adorable art

A fantastic game for children (Id say around 8+) to adults
Flamecraft is adorable and incredibly easy to play. You are given a card that tells you exactly what to do and in what order every turn. The fun comes from when you start moving dragon cards around the town. At the start of the game the town that serves as the main board makes sense. The butcher shop gives you meat and so on, but as the game progresses, you'll be moving cards off of these shops and onto others. So now the butcher might give you meat, gems, and leaves. Every shop has a witty name and great artwork!

One of my favorite board games!
This is my favorite board game I’ve played in a long time! It’s the perfect balance of simple and complex in terms of rules. The dragons and graphics are super cute, and instead of the usual cardboard board, it uses a soft mat for play.

adorable, wholesome, and so fun! my friends and i all stop playing constantly to go “awww look at the cute dragon!” would definitely be fun with kids, but my husband and i also play 2 player and it’s always fun! i’ve had a few games go way beyond an hour, and games under the hour estimated on the box, but it’s always fun the entire time :]

Great game, amazing art
Yes, the art is beautiful and the punny names are fun, but the gameplay is great. We played with kids and then the adults wanted to play again after bedtime. Easy mechanics but plenty of strategy and lots of replayability with different shops, multiple enchantment decks, and the option to play with different companions. Including setup and cleanup, was almost exactly an hour every time we played. A new favorite we've been recommending to friends with and without kids.

Extraordinary artwork- wonderful game
*Of note, I am playing with a 6 and 8 year old* The artwork is really nothing short of amazing. Each card is a beautiful, whimsical, piece of art. My youngest definitely prefers hoarding his favorite dragons rather than playing them because he gets so attached. Cons: Takes a long time to set up Pros: Pretty simple after you get the hang of it. It did take us a while to figure it out. That being said the directions are good. Both kids are able to play, but probably best for 8+ even with kids well versed in games. Totally worth it!

Fun game
I played this at a convention last February and have been looking for it ever since. Really cute aesthetics, and the available actions from each stall gave a lot of variation to the game play. Some of the secret goals seemed a bit easier than others, but I really enjoyed it.
