Everdell Game: Asmodee Strategy Board for Creative Thinking & War, 30-90 Minutes, 1-4 Players

So fun!! This is a new favorite in my house. I have a 6 and a 7 year old and they both like to play with me and my husband. They don’t score very high cause their strategy could still use some work. But each time we play their score gets higher. It’s just a fun game and they understood all the rules after a few games. It’s like a mix of Catan and a deck builder game in one giant cute package! We love it!!

Pros: Beautiful artwork Really enjoyable strategy game but not a boring history type. Holds your attention and keeps you on your toes. Cons: It takes a while to learn the game with a whole book of instructions, but not impossible. We had to go back a couple of times the first time we played to re-read sections as we went, but eventually got the hang of it without needing to reference. Rated 10+ but suitable for younger kids as long as they can read.

Love that this game is more complexed than monopoly, but easy enough for children around 8 years of age and up. It might take rounds to explain it to kids, but they will pick up the rules. The cardboard tree will slowly fall apart from reassembly and disassembly. The game is also very cute and there’s many ways to win. On average it takes 4 hours to finish the game.

This is the most complicated game I have ever played. Expect your first game to take a really long time as you're learning. I mean really long! Regardless, I thought this was a very fun and well thought out game with a lot of strategy involved. If you love strategy games and don't mind long games definitely get it.

We are huge board/card gamers.... and have 5 kids. We are VERY picky about games. THIS is amazing! We play with the kids and sometimes without!

A multiplayer game for the family

SO fun. We bought this game at the recommendation of a friend who is also a big fan. Although expensive, we have already gotten so many hours of enjoyment from the game. If you’re a fan of worker placement games, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed by this one - not to mention, the art is beautiful. We’ve tried out an expansion pack too (Pearlbrook) and that adds yet another layer of fun and possibilities for gameplay. All in all, could not recommend more highly.

A brilliant combination of worker placement, resource management, and tableau building concepts, all packaged in a serene setting reminiscent of Brian Jacques' classic Redwall series. Phenomenal.

My husband and I bought this game last year, and we love playing it! It takes about 45-60 min, and has great replay ability. Our children ask to play this with us, all the time, and are starting to pick it up a bit. We purchased them the kids version, to get them started. Also, the artwork is stunning and cozy! Since we are veterans of the game now, we have decided to buy the Complete Collection, for Christmas, with all expansions! Can’t wait! This is the new strategy game of the year!!

This is a well made game. It can take over an hour when played with four players.

Amazing game! Instructions were easy to understand and came in larger print. The game came with extra bags to store the smaller game pieces. Beautiful artwork was a plus.

It’s a fun game! Personally I enjoy Terraforming Mara a little better for engine builders, but this game is a ton of fun, easier to play, and has significantly higher quality parts.

Extremely beautiful design, I loved the gameplay and how you’re not really waiting for others. You can “prepare for a new season” at different times based on your strategies and that’s pretty cool! Had a great time playing it.

Such a great board game! Thanks to having so many cards the games feel different every ay so far. It somehow manages to be a relaxing game while still being quite competitive. Very fun!

Absolutely excellent game in gameplay and quality! My wife and I just played this for the first time and we very much enjoyed it. We own a lot of board games and I can see us coming back to this one time and time again for sure. The artwork on the cards is fantastic and the quality of all the components is top-notch! The gameplay of building a little town of critters and buildings is very fun as well. This would be a great game for kids also I think. Not too hard to learn but not so simple that it gets boring fast either. Highly recommend!!!
