Others have made this type of device but this item by Keurg is super great! It allows you to use one time paper filters or wire basket filter ( both included, although you will need to purchase extra filters). If you buy your own beans, your coffee can be more freshly ground . And, of course, no more plastic k- cups to fill our garbage dunps. :-)

Much better than the old one!
Much smaller than Keurig's original reusable cup, same size as regular K-cups. Lid is hinged so you don't lose it, and the filter basket is removable for cleaning. AND very affordable!! I love using my own coffee instead of buying K-cups. The only drawback is that the red rubber insert isn't as snug as it could be, so be sure to check it's seated properly before using or coffee will come through the lid!

I have the kuerig slim. It doesn't fit right in there. I like to use the mini filters. It doesn't work at all. Coffee grounds in the coffee. I've tried it twice thinking maybe I didn't have it snapped securely the first time. I have the universal one, this was going to be my back up. This will be in a drawer for possibly a future machine. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS.

This filter has a lot of things going for it. It goes in the dishwasher, it fits my home unit, and it makes passable bean juice. pro: dishwasher friendly con: top rack only, can get caught on lower spray arm and breaks the lid off pro: easy to fill and goes in machine with no issues con: unit has a tendency to overspill from the needle hole at the top, causing grounds to flow into coffee cup We got about a week of use from the one I bought before it broke in the dishwasher. I plan on buying two more but now I will put them in the utensil rack to prevent damage (my dishwasher does not have heating element at bottom so I can get away with it) overall it is a good device. The benefit of cutting down on single use plastic though...that is nice.
