I don't usually write reviews but I want to warn others. There are two problems with the item I received. 1) The toaster is painted gold and looks sloppy. There is a clump of dried paint on the top and some scratches on the side. 2) I pulled apart the butter pieces (they are velcroed) and two of the velcro pieces broke. Unfortunately this was not worth the money. There are other wooden toy toasters for less money.

The mechanism to move the toast worked fine. The quality of the paint on the toy was very poor: the color was uneven and inconsistent.

Nice wooden toaster set

Liked that it was a wooden toy, not plastic. There is no assembly, just use right out of the box. Delivery time was very quick. My only problem is that 2 of the velcro discs on the slices of butter came off immediately upon using them. Like the realistic appearance of the slices of toast. Would like them to go farther down in the toaster to look a little more like a real toaster. You need to push the lever manually to "pop" the toast up. Toaster is about 4 X 6 inches.
