Kitten tries to make the best of being a street cat, but all he really wants is to be warm, fed, and loved. His friend Tiger thinks he should live at the zoo with him, but this proves to be a very difficult thing to do. Kitten doesn't have stripes like Tiger, so he tries to find some--by scraping at the crosswalk lines in the road, wrapping a black ribbon around himself, and rolling in mud, but nothing works. Then on Christmas Eve, Kitten meets Santa Claus, who asks him what his biggest wish is. Will Kitten finally get what he has always wanted? She graduated from the Literature Institute named after Maxim Gorky as a literary translator from English, and was a student of the famous Viktor Golyshev. Elena has a Ph.D. in philology; her thesis was devoted to Mary Cicely Barker's poems for children in the context of English literature of the first half of the twentieth century. She is a participant of diverse seminars and forums for writers and the winner of numerous awards. Kristina Konovalova loves illustrating children's books. While creating, an illustrator becomes a real-life wizard, creating new worlds for young readers and their parents. Her dream is to take part in the creation of as many interesting, informative books as possible, which would be on children's bookshelves all over the world. Her favorite medium is digital painting. She is inspired by the sky, sea, music, and her little dog.
