Kodiak Banana Muffin & Quick Bread Mix - 14oz

Not as good as I expected

I am impressed with the amount of chocolate in them. It is definitely for chocolate lovers. My husband loves double chocolate muffins and I am glad he liked these so I know he can have a healthier version with protein. I added some extra chips because I didn't realize there were teeny tiny chips in there already. It was good with and without my extra semi-sweet chips. You have to eat them quickly, though. They are very moist so you have 3-5 days.

Only 10 grams of protein, yet 20g of added sugar per serving? Meh, not worth the price tag in my opinion. It’s be easier to find other substitutions. I was looking for a healthy snack for my toddler, but way too much sugar for me personally.

Opening a box of Kodiak “blueberry” muffin mix, well, where were the blueberries?? When mixing the contents of the box, the smell of goodness was totally absent. Then I saw some tiny particles of chopped up blueberries which were either dehydrated or freeze-dried. The smell was still absent of anything good. Then, after the batter was spooned into the muffin cups I added some homegrown organic blueberries to each muffin, pocking them down with a toothpick. As the muffins were baking, the smell of freshly made baked blueberry muffins was not present in my kitchen. After cooking them, I put the muffins on the table for breakfast, and my husband, my son, granddaughter each took one and there was silence. My granddaughters after her first taste, asked if there was anything else for breakfast because it was “yucky”! We all agreed with her statement. We ate the one we started with and the remaining muffins were untouched. When I bake, I use fresh ingredients and milled flours, local honey and fresh eggs. The things I bake at home have flavor and an aroma that draws the whole family in, that is what I (we) were expecting from a box of expensive food from Kodiak. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THESE, YOU WILL BE EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!!!

Does not taste good at all. Honestly they tasted like vomit. I spit out the one bite I took and threw them all away. I prepared them exactly as described on the box, using fresh eggs and milk. Maybe it was just the lemon blueberry flavor that tasted not good

I substitute regular milk for High Protein Vanilla Milk (like Core Power) and add 1 container of high protein yogurt and 1/3 cup of egg whites to increase the protein. Love the Blueberry and the Chocolate muffin mixes by Kodiak as well.

I have been buying this product for many years! My whole family loves it! Especially when I add either coconut or walnuts to the package of blueberry mix! Never been disappointed in this product recommended to anybody if you like blueberry muffins or blueberry scones!

There is a very off putting taste to the mix. I think it could be the cream of tartar and lemon flavor. Definitely too much cream of tartar taste. Giving three stars because of the easy preparation and they were filling. I won’t purchase again, though.

If you like the smell and taste of Playdoh, go for it. My dog wouldn't eat them.

Makes delicious muffins but be aware that they are much more lemon than they are blueberry. Also one whole box makes one dozen muffins which, I did anticipate a bit more product than that.

I made mine into banana bread doing 2 smashed bananas, almond milk, eggs, Greek yogurt, stevia, and vanilla. It was so good! Have to add the Greek yogurt to make this moist without it it's dry.

My extremely picky child approves, and it is very hard to get him to a) eat protein and b) try any new foods. These are a huge win for us!

I have a favorite "regular" banana bread recipe but it obviously takes time (and bananas) to make. Bananas are scarce in my household as I have toddlers who bite through the peel and eat half before discarding. Hoping to try out a new product and maybe get a little extra protein in their diet, I gave this product a try. Lo and behold, it was a hit! I'll continue buying.

Flavorless and have way less protein than they claim. Label says 12g per 2 muffins, but it’s actually only 4g of complete protein per 2 muffins, so 2g per muffin.

Bought online and they turned out very dry.and really no flavor.

The muffins were very tasty and filling. Just what my daughter needed before ski training.

Easy to make an even better tasting. Quick and easy to grab in the warnings or use as a treat or dessert.

Doesn’t have too much banana flavor but if you add in one ripe banana and some maple syrup and walnuts, it’s great!!

I bought this online a month ago. It was so easy to make! The recipe suggested a bake time of 12 to 15 minutes. I baked it for 13 minutes. It looked moist on the outside, but actually was quite dry to eat. Perhaps I baked it one minute too long. The flavor was delicious and I love that it’s packed with protein. I will definitely try it again, but I won’t bake it as long.

I tried every protein muffin recipe on the internet and none of them were satisfying until I found this! I used an eat a brownie everyday and this was an easy and healthy transition. Thank for supporting my journey!
