Q: What is the biggest difference between this soft waves iron and the ceramic curling iron - aside from one being ceramic? Trying to decide between those two. Both 1 1/ 4 size.

For a barrel curling iron this is it, stop looking and run and buy it ! The gold barrel heats up hot quickly but it helps to hold and lock in your curl so it lasts all day. The cord is also longer than most so it is super handy . Leaves hair flawlessly curled with volume and shine . Worth every penny!

Don not buy! Overall the heating and hair curling is good, but the unit kept on shutting off. The cable got damages at the point where it rotates and attaches to the tool and it doesn’t connect. The tool ended up in trash can after 3 months. Waste of money

Surprisingly poor performing. It added zero shine to my hair and even seemed to cause frizz, which I’ve never experienced before with a curling iron. 3 stars because it’s pretty and comfortable to hold, heats up fast, and is dual voltage. Returning.

I do like this curling iron because it’s easy to use and looks beautiful on my counter if I forget to put it away. HOWEVER, I *hate* that it auto-offs after 30 minutes because it usually takes me longer than that to do my hair. I wish it was a longer timer. I also agree it doesn’t hold a curl super well even on the highest heat setting, but I try to avoid super high heat so that’s more of a compromise I’m willing to make. It does a soft wave VERY well. Also, the display that tells me if it is on/off just broke today after ~9 months of having it and I don’t have the receipt bc it was a gift :’) It still turns on but I have no way to know what the heat is @ or if it’s actually on without touching it…no thanks, I’ll pass on the burn! This should be priced at ~$40 for the value.

This iron does not hold a curl I have tried for over a year now, working hairsprays, different heat protectants. I don’t know why I keep picking it up, my other curling iron is smaller but it does a way better job way over priced to do nothing but damage my hair.

My GHD curling iron (which I loved) died after a few years of use, and I wanted to try something a little less expensive to see if I could achieve similar results. This seemed like a good option, so I ordered it. I have loved it so far! Very comparable to the GHD curling iron, and one thing I prefer is the ability to adjust the heat temp. I am curious to see how it performs over time.

It left my hair smooth and shiny. However, it didn't hold a curl. I have wavy hair naturally and when i use the hot tools brand, it holds my curl for days. This curling iron didn't ever last more than a day of curls before they fell out. I also noticed on the second time of using it, it turned off on its own a minute after turning on to heat up.
There are better options for that price

technically, it will curl your hair. but it doesn’t glide at all and left soooo many dents in my hair. i bought the 2” barrel first and the handle snapped off before i was even halfway done curling my hair. so i took it back and exchanged for the 1 1/4” and the same thing happened. it seems very cheaply made and pulled out so much of my hair.

I cannot believe how much better this curling iron is from my hot tools iron. I’m so glad I decided to try it. The titanium barrel is superior and gives an even curl…somehow it is easier to clasp the hair and create a defined curl. Sooo happy I bought this, wish I had done it sooner.

I have 1a straight and fine hair, however it can decently hold a curl. This is more like a straightener. It will not hold a curl, it's short, and my hair gets caught. Look else where

This curling iron is absolutely amazing! I’ve been shopping around and finally found a hair worthy product. I dislike one thing and it’s pretty pertinent-the location of the Off/On button. It’s in a place where you can’t put your hand high or low and because it’s right in the middle I end up turn it off numerous times. Unfortunate because this is really amazing but I don’t want to keep checking on whether or not I accidentally switched it to off.

I’ve had this for 3 years now and I just replaced it with a hot tools iron because my curls do. not. last. with this one. Also, the handle it absorbed something red? I have blonde hair and it’s discolored now

This curler snagged and pulled my hair. Like other reviewers wrote, the top is difficult to hold so it is easier to burn yourself. Definitely returning. Such a shame because I purchased the straightener and I absolutely loved that tool but the curler is a hard pass.
