men’s measuring guide

Use the tips & visuals in this guide to take body measurements accurately & easily.

Dont have a fabric tape measure? Use a shoelace or pant leg to measure. Then, lay it flat & use a ruler or tape measure to get a numerical measurement.

How to measure

  • Chest

With arms at your sides, measure around the fullest part of your chest & shoulder blades, keeping the tape level & snug.

  • Waist

Bend slightly to one side. The crease is where your natural waistline is. Measure a comfortable loose, level line around that point.

Summary of reviews

These linen sheets are praised for their soft and comfortable feel, making them ideal for warm summer nights. Guests appreciate the breathable fabric that regulates temperature, keeping them cozy without overheating. However, many express disappointment over durability issues, particularly with the fitted sheet wearing out quickly. Despite the concerns, the overall aesthetic and texture of the sheets are well-received, making them a popular choice for those seeking comfort and style in their bedding.

I really like linen sheets, but these are not good quality. Coming out of the dryer, they are tremedously wrinkled, and while I am used to ironing the top hem of linen, I do not want to iron the entire sheet. The other color I bought (gray) were fine, by the way.

I am shocked that the fitted sheet is worn out! I have to admit, I have had these sheets for more than a year; but, I expected better from Land’s End linen. I have certainly had better luck from (less expensive) quality cotton sheets.

I've had these sheets for a couple months and do not like them. The fabric is very thin, you can see the mattress through the fitted sheet. The hand feel of he linen is nice. The fitted sheet is very oversized and comes loose on my 14" mattress.

Soft comfortable sheets but the bottom sheet wears out quickly. I have never experienced this before. Unfortunately they are only offered in sets so I can’t replace the bottom sheet. I expected a better product from Lands End.

Feel amazing, but don't hold up

I love these sheets, they feel amazing - light, breathable, keep you warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Alas they don't hold up like you'd wish. They've worn right through on the fitted sheet and the very worst thing is, you can't replace piecemeal so I can't just replace the fitted sheet. It's a major bummer.

These are the best! I do wash them on gentle cycle with warm water & natural soap. I wash my other linen things like this - linen is linen.

Bottom sheet has holes after two years

I bought the chambray sheet set a couple of years--I loved the comfortable feel. BUT after just seasonal use, it has patchy holes on portions of the bottom sheet. I've never had that happen with Lands End sheets (or other brands either). I've had flannel sheets for 10+ years--the bottom sheet will get thinner, but not actually develop holes. So disappointed because they were not inexpensive. Top sheet is fine.

    Soft, lovely failures

I got these as a gift Christmas 2021. I used them every other week for spring, summer, fall but flannels in the winter. A year and a half and my bottom sheet, like other reviewers, has become threadbare and full of holes. Waste of money and so disappointing.

    Gift of Sweet Dreams

This is the fourth set of LE linen sheets I have purchased. I made the mistake of giving my daughter a set a couple of years ago and, like I do, she loves the natural cool, soft texture of these sheets so she asked for another set for Christmas. Even though they are pricy, similar sheets are difficult to find and can cost twice as much from other dealers--especially if you're lucky enough to find a sale. I have pale green and she has flax--both are lovely. Though they stretch out a little after about 10 days of use (time to change), they go right back after washing. I wash & dry on cool and add lavender scent. They take awhile to dry, but are worth waiting for (& paying for).

    Did not last a year.

I purchased the entire set of garment washed linens in pale flax and the blue in February 2022. The fabric is thin but soft and comfortable. The sheets were used every other week and washed every other week as well. That is 18 washes. The bottom sheet fall apart. I would expect at least a year’s worth of use out of it. Now I have an entire set with no bottom sheet and concerns about the other set lasting.

I purchased a linen set for my household to "splurge" when we were grounded to home by the pandemic. When I needed wedding gifts for 2 couples, I bought them sheets. "Awesome sheet set" was the immediate thank you. One couple put them on the bed the day the sheets arrived. My new "go to" wedding gift.

I had been in search of the perfect chambray blue sheets for a long time when I stumbled upon these beauties. They are even better in person and the linen gets softer with each wash. Thanks LE for another great product!

Used these sheets a few times last summer. Got them out for this summer, and within a few days, found not one but three big holes in the bottom sheet. Don’t buy. It’s like tissue paper.

    Poor Quality

It seems I have the same issue as other reviewers. I’ve had these sheets for less than a year and already the fitted sheet has a huge hole and is threadbare in other spots. Really disappointed with the quality, especially for the price. Don’t buy these.

Horrible quality. Fitted sheet ripped everywhere.

At first I loved these sheets, they washed up well and were very soft the first few washes. We have several sets of sheets and these linen sheets are only used in the summer, on a rotation. Therefore, they have only been used/washed/dried maybe 5-6 times in the last year. I recently washed the fitted sheet and while folding it I noticed about 10 rips & holes all over the fabric! It looked like someone took a pair of scissors to it. I wash all of our sheets in eco friendly detergent, on delicate, and dry on low, so these sheets were well taken care of. Other reviewers have had the same problem so I know it's the fault of Lands' End's manufacturing. For the price of these sheets and Lands' End's reputation, I expect a lot more. Even big box store sheets hold up better than this. Do not buy!
