Christmas present for my husband (fussy). Said it's the warmest coat he's ever had. he's a large with a bit of girth in the middle. fit absolutely perfect in the large. pockets are his requirements, & he is super happy. navy is great color, classic. i scored bigtime :)

I purchased as a Christmas gift and it was perfect. It is warm and made of nice fabric. The coat is stylish and good for every day and dressy occasions. The sale price was fabulous!

I liked everything about this jacket. I ordered a medium and it fit true-to-size except it was really large in the belly/waist and there is no cinch cord to keep out the wind. This was a dealbreaker for me. The arms were the right length but almost excessively roomy. It's like this jacket is designed for overweight people or people wearing a lot of layers. I'm not asking for "slim fit" but something a little slimmer would be nice. Also 600 fill down is not very warm compared to other options on the market.

I think I got a good deal, but I won't know about quality and fit until next winter.

Needed a new winter parka that could stand up to the Midwest winters- so far this parka has done the job well. Overall it’s well designed and fits as expected. It’s a bit puffier than the pictures indicate but still a clean, sharp look. I opted for the large so I could layer comfortably but the medium would have been ok and looked slimmer. That said I’ve received several compliments on it- the Navy color is very sharp. My two complaints- first the coat has some small tears in the shell already on the sleeves which makes me question how long this coat will last. Second, the coat leaves my neck area exposed to a lot of wind unless I close all the hood snaps and even then wind is still getting in- seems like a design flaw but may be because I bought the larger size….

I bought this for my husband. He wanted a coat that covered his backside, so I started researching Lands End. You guys came thru. He loves the coat. Great for hikes and life in general on those cold winter days.

I purchased this jacket to replace an old, ripped down coat I had for years. The heft (weight) is greater than other down jackets I've had, but the warmth and wind resistance is superior! With all the storage options with snap or zippered pockets it was a good deal to handle the cold, blustery winters and keep my valuables safe.

I have had the jacket for almost a month and I am basically happy with it. The jacket has kept me warm in 36* F/ 2.2*C. so far. Have yet to try it in the snow or in rainy weather. I did hang the jacket in the shower and gently threw some water on it, as a test. The water does bead and falls off. The Jacket fits very well and feels comfortable. The only complaint I have is with the zipper not being able to easily engaged the double zipper slider.. It takes a while to get the trick to it. Other than that, it is a very good jacket.

Brought for my son, he loved it and it looks, feels amazing. Hopefully the cold weather will prove its warmth.

I bought this for my son for those extra cold days in Colorado. He has lighter down jackets for most winter days. This one was perfect, heavy and warm. Waterproof too though he hasn’t tested that feature yet. It seems well made. He normally wears between large and extra large. I got the extra large so he can layer and it fits perfectly. True to size.

After reading reviews complaining about the zipper, I went to a local Lands End store and tried on a few of these--no issues with any of the zippers. I then placed my order online in December (need a tall, which isn't available in the local store). It is a great coat. No zipper issues--in fact, I love the double zipper as it allows me to unzip from the bottom, which makes it more comfortable to sit down at times. The warmth is awesome--I've sat in stadiums for hours and not gotten cold. Pockets and other features are great too. I highly recommend!

I bought this jacket for my husband this past fall. Initially the zipper was just challenging but over 2 months time the zipper broke all together. Pocket design was not flattering. I had to donate it. Mailing back an XLarge men’s jacket is expensive. Return sites are rare.

I do not like cold weather. This coat fixes that problem. This coat was put together very well! If you are looking for that perfect winter coat, this the one!

Jacket is true to size with enough space for thick layering. Very well made, heavy and warm. When you get used to the double zips, it a great jacket.

I bought this coat 2 weeks ago. It's very warm and fits really well. Today was the first time I had a chance to wear it in the rain. My arms got very wet inside the coat. The material beads the water in some places, but then absorbed the water in others. I wanted to exchange it, but they are currently out of stock.

This jacket has become my primary jacket in the winter. Although not perfect, this is an excellent jacket for the money. It is very warm, works great in the rain, and has excellent features. It does not have any external chest pockets (even though the ads say it does) but it does have an excellent snapable interior chest pocket. The zippered side hand-warming pockets are incredibly plush and warming. The hood is only moderately adjustable and is best used with a tossle cap or baseball cap. Like most big jackets, adding a scarf or buff is a good idea either of which can be stored in the spacious flap pockets in the front. This jacket lacks premium down but doesn't seem to need it, and with a moderate mid-layer, you'd never miss it. The dual cuffs (ribbed and velcro) work well to keep wind and rain out. The coat isn't "puffy" so don't expect to have thick layers underneath--not that you'll need any in most conditions. This jacket is often available at a discount which make it a no brainer--especially when so many sizes (regular and tall) are available for a custom fit. I'm 6'2" 195 lbs with the arms of a 6'6" person and the Large Tall works perfectly. The dual 2-way zipper works flawlessly and is an excellent feature that all heavy coats should have. I have no idea why people claim it is an issue.
