LEGO Technic 2022 Ford GT Car Model Set 42154

I got this set at the end of 2023 and it was great build. The suspension is so high like an off-roader tho and other play functions are great and working without any problem to fix.

As a Technic fan, the Ford GT really surprised me. At this scale, you don’t always get both detail and sturdiness, but this set manages a great balance of the two. The proportions are spot-on — from the long, low hood to the iconic rear with its aerodynamic cutouts. It feels far more “filled in” than some other mid-size Technic cars, with relatively few gaps in the bodywork. The shaping of the front and rear ends especially captures the look of the real Ford GT in a way I didn’t expect at this size. The build process was satisfying: lots of clever techniques in how the panels are connected, and a smooth integration of the functions. The opening doors, adjustable spoiler, and detailed V6 engine make it feel alive, even if it’s more of a display piece than a play set. One thing I’ll note is that the doors can feel a little fragile compared to the rest of the model, but once it’s displayed, it holds together nicely. Speaking of display, the car looks fantastic on a shelf or wall-mounted next to other Technic supercars. Overall, this is one of the better Technic cars in this price range: detailed, sleek, and an enjoyable build. It may not reach the complexity of the UCS-scale cars, but it definitely looks like it belongs in the same family

I bought this set for my personal LT ( Lego Therapy) until the next supercar becomes available. While I was a little disappointed that there wasn’t a gearbox to build, I appreciated the engineering and the realistic features of the car.

Overall I liked it because it was detailed and intricate to a point, however was kinda annoying when I got to the last bag and one of the pieces was deformed. It had the whole or design cut in it but the plastic was as still in it making it not usable. Not to mention to get it replaced will take weeks and I’m in the navy and don’t necessarily have a mailing address at the moment or the time to wait for it.

It was fun to make, looks great, rolls nice, and great suspension

really impressed with the size and weight of this set, it is really incredible value for money. can be frustrating at times during the build but ultimately a rewarding experience.

The set looks very close to the real thing and the moving parts are so cool. A brick separator being added would be amazing tho, as it would be easier to correct your mistakes.

I got this set a while back and its amazing. The play features; Working steering, working V6 engine and the moving rear wing are all excellent. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is on the edge whether to get it or not.

It's so intricate and functional, as well as being a very impressive set full stop!

The front bumper and surrounding area scratches the ground even on a completely flat surface. The tires also hit the fender flares. “Would not recommend”

I been building RC Cars from the Past and this is one also a oustanding Masterpiece. I LOVE HOW THE SUSPENSSION WORK, AND THE SPOILER IS GREAT. Just one problem I encountered missing parts for the door. part number 6434414 To complete the job I need to improvise.

The build was fun except for a few areas. 1. The doors open and close very loosely and come loose easily. 2. The front windshield/door pillars fit very loosely and come loose easily. This is my first Technic build but expected a better finished product.

This was fun to build, totally worth the money. The build quality is amazing ans as is the detail

Nothing like building a lego set to relax, this set is amazing. Looks great in my office and it was a lot of fun building. Highly recommend if you're a lego fan or just want to buid something that looks great in your home office.

The instructions in the booklet were OK but at my age, it is very difficult to differentiate between dark gray and medium gray, between dark blue and medium blue etc etc. It would be nice if LEGO included a cross reference chart at the beginning of the book that would let a person like me tell which color piece I am to use.

Was my first technic Lego set build I have ever done and it took me about three days after a couple of breaks. Was super fun, mostly easy directions only rough part was the motor for me. Didn’t realize until I was finished I could really move the back tires cause I messed up somewhere but well worth the money and a great display piece!
