I bought the 40AY model to set up my dual monitors (3440 x 1440 and 2k with display port); however, I'm only getting 30hz on the 3440 x 1440 monitor no matter what cable I use. I specifically checked the table for video output before I purchased it and I believed, if the table is stated correctly, 40AY should be able to support TWO 4K @ 60hz with DP; however in my case, it can't even carry an ultrawide + 2k to 60hz. I don't understand it.

I can from a Dell shop and was used to the D6000 docking station for universal. Give it a few more years for all non USB-C laptops to be phased out then this is a universal docking station.

Works decent but I have issues with one of my monitors now going out for a few seconds sporadically. Always comes back on, but shouldn't go off at all. Also have issue where my external camera works sporadically. This is very bothersome.

I had to replace a docking station that was less than one year old. The new one doesn't work right either. All in all, I would tell people not to buy this.

The best docking station. It's complete, basic and handles all your work monitors, keyboards and everything.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) The dock comes with a 90W power adapter in the style of the old ThinkPad (a little bar similar looking to USB). This feeds power to the whole system, including PD over USB-C to your laptop. I've set it up with HDMI to a 1920x1080 monitor, and DisplayPort to a 3840 x 2160 monitor, all connected to a ThinkPad X1 Carbon (so three display system). Configuring the 4k monitor to diplay correctly has proven tricky. Will try again through USB-D DP alt mode. The moral of the story, is check carefully what your monitor configuration is, and how this dock will support it.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) First impression is very good. Think pad is fast and easy to use. Keyboard well arranged for ergonomic use of your fingers and hands. TP is slim and light weight. Screen image quality crisp. About the only question I would have is wether there is enough space for the fan exhaust vent under the computer. If for example you laptop is placed on soft surface it appears that this exhaust space will be completely blocked. Is this going cause overheating to electronics inside?
