About the Book
Forty learning adventures for children and adults who work with and care for children--all supporting the power of social playBook Synopsis
Let children experience the learning power of play--together! Let's All Play provides all-new adventures that support children's social skill development through thoughtful group play, interaction, and conversation. These play experiences help children engage with each other and the world around them, all of which leads to rich learning. This book also encourages adults to reflect on the value of children's play through deep thinking activities.
Let's All Play builds on the early learning principles presented in Jeff A. Johnson and Denita Dinger's first book together, Let Them Play, and the open-ended learning adventures in their second book, Let's Play.
Review Quotes
"Jeff and Denita have done it again! The authors of Let Them Play: An Early Learning (un)Curriculum, and Let's Play: (un)Curriculum Early Learning Adventures, have come out with a terrific new book Let's All Play: A Group Learning (un)Curriculum! This book is designed to both make us think about the importance of play and give us stimulating hands-on activities that can be done with groups of young children. From thought provoking questions at the end of each section to practical advice on how to support children as they play, their book has it all! Whether you are familiar with Jeff and Denita or are just being introduced to them, do not miss their new book!"--Tracy Hinton, Family Child Care Provider "Jeff and Denita do a wonderful job explaining child development and talking about the important skills that children should discover in their formative years. Let's All Play should be used as a handbook for all early childhood teachers as well as elementary school educators."--Rob Rydzinski, School Age Specialist, 4C of Southern Indiana
