Lifetime 136 Gallon Deck Box, Gray (60367)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This storage bin was bought to consolidate two older storage bins. I assembled it following the directions. Unfortunately nothing is labeled. The parts have holes with dimples but not predrilled. After assembling the box backwards and had to take everything apart to reassemble it again. The one side doesn't line up and you now have to pull the lid towards the side so that it closes. They put dimples on the screw holes but didn't predrill the holes. Just little things that were annoying.

This is the second box ive bought. Theyre great for storage. Have no issues with critters. While assembling the lock mechanism, it said to secure bolt tightly and the bolt broke before it was tight.

The quality of the material is strong. But difficulty with instructions. Would have been easier if it was marked right side/left side, top/ bottom. Does scratch easily also. Otherwise we like the product so far.

Awesome size box for storing our seat & bench cushions. It was fairly easy to assemble. The Gas Springs work very well. The parts are well designed. A very good product.

Piece of junk. The parts did not line up. Some bolts were too big. The lid doesn’t line up. Design flawed.

Box is nice, but I installed with someone on a level surface. The lid is higher on one side than the other. Noticable when closed. Lid also opens by itself with a gust of wind. Will be better when I utilize a padlock.

The screws don’t fit on the part to connect the bar to the top part. And yea I followed all instructions

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to assemble. Need two people to mount lid. Use a pad to protect during assemble as it scratches easily. My only complaint is the deck lid bowed after the first day and doesn't align squarely.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great product, easy assembly (less than 45 minutes). But I think it needs some internal structural support to prevent bowing in the middle. There are slots inside on the front and rear panels that could be used to add the support. All in all, it works as designed.

I bought this a month ago but only now got to put it together. The instructions are very detailed but excellent and easy to follow in 3 languages. The item, seems sturdy and roomy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Diagram appears to have the locking bar installed upside down which causes locking clamps not not align. Also, screws go in at an angle that is difficult to fully engage with the plastic.

I bought this deck box install was so so however the lid is already warped. I have had the box for less than a week. I’m at a loss because I wanted this for cushions and some pool stuff. Not sure what I am going to do with it now.

Bought and assembled and will return. First, a warning, as this model requires a 3 inch space behind it to allow the opening of the lid. It will not fit flush to the wall. The left side piece is warped, lid will not fit flush, and the design of the hasp for locking purposes won't allow proper room for installation of fastners. Won't let me add photos.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently purchased one of these deckboxes and completed its construction mostly alone ( I am an 80 yr old woman). I gave this only 4 stars because of the difficulty with screw and bolt sizes. Had I not had experience building previously I would not have thought to check the sizes of the bolt heads which I found to be METRIC in size. It appears that some of the hardware is US and some is METRIC. One in particular is 10mm. Once this size was established it was fairly smooth sailing. In all of the instructions I found admonitions to not overtighten the screws that went into(within) the plastic. True. BUT there are a couple of bolts which have a nut with a “self sealing” middle, i.e., it appears solid in the middle of the nut. THOSE MUST BE TIGHTENED SO THAT THE BOLT GOES THROUGH THE MIDDLE OF THE NUT and done tightly or the bolt connection will wobble making a very unstable connection. ( These are located in/on the hinge connection and i believe on the lock portion. ) On these connections I needed some stronger than I had strength. Other than that the box went together quite simply and well. You will need to use counter pressure using a wratchet wrench and a standard wrench. I discovered this last bit of information by watching a youtube demonstration of putting this Lifetime Deckbox together. Good Luck!!!
