very good adjustable arm for variable heights.

the product is great. i wish there was an option to buy it assembled for a higher price.

My previous backboard/rim/bracket rusted out after about 15 years, so I replaced it (using this universal bracket) along with a compatible (Lifetime) backboard/rim set, and I couldn’t be happier. Setup wasn’t too bad, although I was working off the visual of my previous unit. Just remember to call Lifetime ahead of ordering to make sure that this bracket is compatible with the board you’re buying. Their representatives are super nice and very knowledgeable.

Was a great replacement for my existing old beat up backboard. Very easy setup instructions and installation was smooth.

We have three kids under 11 and wanted them all to be able to use the hoop and mount to the garage. So having the adjustable mount was exactly what we needed and it works perfect.

This conversion kit is well designed and is sturdy, However, I had to drill out a number of the holes in order that the 7 inch bolts would go through. The instructions could be clearer. It took quite a few hours to assemble it, but now that it is up, it works well

Adjusting from high to low is difficult. As if the tooth is 1 cm too long.

Great product and the staff helped me pick out exactly what I needed. Saved me money too because I needed less parts than I thought!

Assembly is teadious. You must follow the directions precisely. Take your time; the directions will make sense if you read them carefully.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Although I needed to ream the bolt holes in order for the bolts to pass through them, the assembly went quite well. I adapted the unit to a square 4 inch pole using two 4 inch by 6 inch square U-bolts. This could easily be put in your assembly literature. That would have saved me a lot of investigating time. The unit works great and the grand kids love it.

While the product functions, the assembly leaves MUCH to be desired. The product needs to be reworked to allow assembly by one person. The need for more than one is so sporadic and short lived each time there is a second person needed that you couldn't guarantee the assembler would be needed the whole time or would be wasting their time in showing up. Additionally, just create three separate manuals for each style of mounting. Having all three assembly instructions in the same book, aka "Choose You Own Adventure" style where diagrams for each mounting style are interspersed, is confusing, frustrating, and a gigantic time-suck. It took me six hours to put this thing up and that's far too much for what is supposed to be plug-n-play. So, -1 star for the ease of assembly, and -1 star for the ridiculous instructions.

Call and make sure you backboard will work prior to purchasing. I bought a used Lifetime Competition Series and this does not work with their own product.

The nuts will not thread on to the carriage bolts properly. I've had problems since day 1 with this item. It's too bad because there is no equivalent on the market.

I bought this to mount my 54" steel framed backboard and it works great. It fit well and operates smoothly.

The only problem I had with assembly was the instructions could have been a little more explicit. Otherwise great. Need some muscle uprights get the pole.

I needed to replace a part on my basketball hoop. I sent in an email and was immediately called back. They no longer had the part but the lady said she would see what she could do and call ed me back again and told me exactly what to order and how.
