Q: Can the wooden play gym be stood up without being attached to the mat, or will it only stand up when attached to the play mat? I want to be able to use it with the play mat or with a bouncer underneath.

A: Thanks for reaching out! While we do not recommend using anything other than the included Activity Mat under The Play Gym, the Activity Mat is not required in order for the wooden legs to stand up.

At first I was very hesitant about purchasing this Play Gym due to the price point. It actually took me at least a few weeks to decide. When I decided to purchase my baby was going to be 2 months old, which was the perfect time to get them into it. And I’m so glad that I did!!! And them too!! My baby is absolutely ecstatic about this gym and I’ve heard noises and coos and laughs that I never heard before. The stimulation is unmatched to anything I’ve ever tried before and I’m so glad that I bought it. My toddler also loves getting into it when the cover is on. It’s so fun and they will only love it more! If you are thinking about it, you will not regret it!
