Nice heat, great consistency
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the consistency of this salsa. It’s got some chunky pieces but it’s still got that salsa feel. I found myself reaching for this multiple times. The heat slowly creeps in on you but it’s not unbearable. It’s just a nice warm. I love a something spicy so this was nice. This also was a hit with my parents who prefer things a bit less spicy.

Medium Salsa
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have never heard of this brand before. It was really fresh and the tomato’s were smaller making it easier to get more on your chip. It’s medium but it wasn’t hot at all. Not only did I dip my chips in it I also put it on tacos. It’s a very versatile dip. If you like salsa you should give this a try!

Excellent restaurant style salsa

Heavier on the tomato flavor vs onion or cilantro, which my husband loves! I would classify this as an easy medium heat salsa, however I am a fan of spiciness and would prefer a little more of a kick. Nice easy to ready label!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you're skeptical of "medium" salsas, Mateo's is the one to change your mind. It's got a legit homemade chunkiness no watery surprises here. The flavor hits first: bright, fresh, and heavy on the onion/cilantro notes. Then comes the heat, which is a perfect, warm little tingle, not a brutal fire. I accidentally ate half the jar straight out of the fridge with Tostitos just now. This is a must have pantry staple.

The medium heat level is the perfect balance — just enough kick without being overwhelming. It tastes super fresh and homemade, with real chunks of tomato, peppers, and spices that blend perfectly. I love that it’s flavorful enough for chips but also amazing on tacos, eggs, or even as a cooking base. Definitely lives up to its “Not Responsible for Obsession” label!
