I love it! they feel very solid. it doesn't feel like disposable wear. it definitely doesn't feel like most compostables that once they get a little warm or a little cool, they start breaking down. when they say they're washable. they really are washable. they are really heat safe to 240°. The knife is actually usable to cut basic things

Great plastic alternative
These Matter reusable utensils are great. Easy to carry with packed lunch or picnic meals. As long as you wipe them after use and wash and dry immediately, they last a very long time. Much better than any plastic utensils I have ever tried. Highly recommend.

when we moved into our new apartment, we had no cutlery, so i bought these as a temporary fix until i could get some silverware. nope! we have continued to use these as our everyday cutlery ever since that day more than a year ago! i love them so much. they’re so strong, i can’t imagine treating these as one-time use. i cook with them instead of breaking out any cooking utensils half of the time haha. they DO eventually wear out, which you’ll be able to tell because they turn sort of white at the tip and get softer. here and there you’ll have a worn out one one break in two at the handle on you, but just toss it and grab another! i also haven’t had any issue whatsoever with staining or retaining smells and i mean i use these for everything i eat. simply wash in the dishwasher and they’re good to go. i hope target carries these forever!

Absorbs dish soap scent.
While I love these utensils for single use, and they are the most durable compostable utensils I have used, they readily - and permanently - absorb the dish soap scent. I have washed, re-washed, soaked and scrubbed them trying to remove the soap scent, without any success. It seems they are very porous.
